Im guessing the the two minions that was absorbed by madara is the two new members of akatsuki.

I don't think that they will be the TWO NEW MEMBERS. The new members (if there will be) should be ninjas that we haven't seen until now. We already know a little too much about Fu and Torune, they are strong, but I don't see them as Akatsuki members.

He should go his own way but that doesnt mean that others dont need him. Yeah they did rely on naruto too much, but now its the 7 bijuus and madara vs literally him and bee. So naruto needs to get his priorities straight and forget sasuke and when the final show down comes he should just woop sasukes ass.

I still think that Fuu and Torune could be the new akatsuki members, they do have really nasty jutsus, fit for an akatsuki.

Not a bad chapter this week, a bit of action and lotsa new revelations abound. This chapter also raises even more questions regarding Danzo and also Madara to an extent. I’m sure everyone was looking forward to a Danzo versus Madara fight, but instead we got an exhibition battle as Madara toyed with Torune and Fuu, who have been confirmed to be from the Abarame and Yamanaka clan respectively. We don’t yet know Fuu’s exact heredity, but if these translations are correct, Torune is actually Shikuro Aburame’s son and thus Shino’s older brother (my bad, Shino father is Shibi Aburame). This fact raises to question the nature of how Roots recruits its members. As I understand it from Sai’s explanation, Roots mostly raises its members from childhood to become perfectly obedient members; the perfect candidates would be orphans such as Sai since they have no previous bonds left with the world. Yet in the case of Torune and Fuu, both belong to established clans in Konoha, and so are not orphans. I have a hard time believing that Shino’s father would not have known one of his sons was a part of Roots, so either he condoned Torune joining this organization or Torune willingly joined himself. This shows that Roots is not just in the business of training child soldiers out of orphans, but has been recruiting from the major clans of Konoha as well; makes you wonder just how deep this organization extends. Torune and Fuu never had a chance against Madara, but their little scuffle does verify some of the limits of Madara’s phasing powers. Up until now, we’ve actually never seen Madara participate fully in a fight as he simply just evaded or allowed attacks to harmlessly phase through him. But in this battle, we see Madara physically interacting with his opponents and phasing into and out of solid form at will. This makes Madara nearly invincible in combat, but as Fuu and Torune observed, there is a way to hit him if you counterattack while Madara makes himself solid in order to attack. And although the two of them never managed to land a punch on Madara, Torune’s poisonous bugs jutsu did manage to infect Madara’s right arm, meaning he does have a susceptible physical form of some kind. But after Madara severed his own arm off without hesitation, the limb that fell to the ground didn’t look quite human — like it was filled with some kind of liquid. Ultimately, this chapter raises more questions about Madara than it answered, and I’m still as confused as ever. One thing that still bothers me is Madara’s dimensional transport powers. In this chapter, Madara has once again shown us that he can suck in others into his dimension at will, effectively capturing them without any resistance. I pointed this out in the past, but if kidnapping people was this easy, why the heck did Madara not capture Naruto already if he wanted the Kyuubi so bad? He certainly has had plenty of opportunities in the past and has proven that he can locate Naruto with ease. Why bother with this war at all? Heck, why did he even bother sending other Akatsuki members to capture the Jinchuuriki when he could have popped in, sucked them in, and pop out? This makes me wonder if Madara has some ulterior motives he has yet to reveal. The way he has been running Akatsuki by carelessly letting almost all the key members die off shows that he really didn’t hold them in much value at all. Maybe his capturing of the Bijuu was more about creating chaos in the great countries than anything else. Think about it, none of the Akatsuki members bothered to hide themselves when they went hunting for Jinchuuriki, as if they wanted their attacks to be seen by as many people as possible. If Madara wanted to steal all the Bijuu efficiently, he should have done it as covertly as possible so that one village would not be able to warn the others. Yet, this whole operation was flashy and sloppy; and Madara did nothing to save his members like he did with Sasuke as they were killed off one after another. And now, with most of the major members dead, he declares war on the world? No, there’s got to be something more here. Madara wanted all the major countries to be united against him. But why? What’s he still hiding? The last part of this chapter is probably the part where everyone’s yells out “Gross!” Oh Danzo, we knew you were always a power hungry egomaniac; taking Shisui’s Sharingan for your eye is one thing, but that Sharingan-covered arm of yours confirms that you are just bat-sh*t crazy. This is Orochimaru level crazy here, but I don’t even know if snake dude would have resorted to something like this. All those Sharingans likely came from the slaughtered Uchiha clan members. Wouldn’t it be twisted if some of those eyes belonged to people Sasuke knew, like his father? This whole thing raises a lot of questions about the role of Danzo in the whole massacre. I’m sure his intent all along was to steal the Sharingans from the slaughtered Uchiha clan, but didn’t anyone notice that a lot people were missing their eyes when they buried the bodies? Well, whatever the reason, Danzo is still one sick bastard. I don’t know what kind of powers he has with all those Sharingans, but I doubt even one of them is a Mangekyou Sharingan. So, there’s probably no way he can beat Sasuke. But let’s see what happens next week.

@217 mine. if danzo got his sharingans from dead uchihas then he had connections with the anbu body disposal team. before anyone got 'properly disposed' so that no enemy could use their powers and other information that could be culled from the body, danzo was able select and secure which specimens he could benefit from. it is also possible that he was already waiting for their demise so he could go after their corpses, or worse, set them up to be killed or assassinated even. ergo, the clan massacre. if danzo is that power-hungry he could do such heinous crimes... and an alliance with madara was likely in such an event. or he made up the 'intelligence report' that the uchiha clan is staging a mutiny and there is no stopping them unless they are ALL butchered to death, including the women and children. so it was him who put itachi and madara to meet and massacre the clan, and he was like the vulture waiting for carrion. on another note, i remember danzo wanted to contact orochimaru and so he have had ties with him in relation to his experiments, and he also mentioned about needing help with his arm. that means either there is a problem with his arm or he needed to add more eyes on them. if orochimaru was able to copy whatever jutsu allowed deidara to have mouths in his palms and elsewhere in his body, then it is not at all impossible that danzo may have such a similar jutsu. i surmise they are all functioning/seeing eyes, since there is no point in having eyes that cannot see; and as was previously mentioned, the jutsus of the sharingan are dependent on seeing. now i wonder what jutsus can someone get from these many sharingans. so far we've only seen different jutsus for specific MS eyes, but not individual sharingans. i wonder if madara's space-time jutsu is an MS jutsu, since Kakashi's space-time jutsu was similar; and we've not seen any three-tomoed sharingan to be able to do any jutsus that are beyond seeing/deciphering and copying jutsus. i also wonder how he could accomplish taking the eyes of both sasuke and madara. could it be with the help of his many sharingans? most probably since a sharingan can only be beaten by another sharingan (though we've seen this to be untrue, case in point, sasuke's ass was kicked by the non-sharingan powers of the kages). i also wonder if there could be a jutsu that could 'blind' a powerful eye to execute a jutsu or 'force it to close', and if it could work against a sharingan. since i have not seen a sharingan execute a jutsu when it's closed. XD

@217 do you remember when they said that shishui was able to control his enemies' with his sharingan? isn't that an individual jutsu of his eyes? maybe every sharingan has an ability like that.

Tho I'm still interested in what NightWizard is thinkin up - good luck! :) Just a random piece of thought, the seal on Danzo's arm must be at least partly to prevent the sharingans' detection, because they weren't seen by that guy a few chapters back with the Byuunken (soz 4bad spelling!:) even though the arm itself was seen. Also as previously suggested, there does seem to be a degree of variability amongst the abilities yielded by MS, (take kakashi and madara's time/space tricks, the uniquesness of Sasuke and Itachi's sussanos, and the slight variation between the appearances of the more evolved forms of the sharingan) so perhaps it is not unlikely that each eye Danzo has has a unique jutsu variation. Or perhaps - as double MS was required to summon the sussano - the more sharingans there are the better when it comes to summoning it. On a note unrelated to the current chapter, does A: sage chakra use the usual chakra circulatory system (and if not, does it render sages immune to the gentle fist?) and B: Seeing as disrupting chakra is required to dispell some genjutsu (such as those Itachi used) does/can sagejuice do that? Sorry for the diversion! :) @rogue-nin, (and any other like-minded beings!) I'm delighted to have sisters and brothers in my thoughs of narutoawesomness! :)

seems like all madara do is feed sasuke's hunger for revenge up until sasuke is right for the picking (strong enough) maybe sasuke is just a replacement for pein whom madara lost because of the fight with naruto the change of heart of pein was just unexpected for him fortunately he had a plan b and that is sasuke. i think it is a part of the mooneye plan that some powerful shinobi be a sacrifice for its fulfillment. same reason why keep itachi's eyes, that is for sasuke to use if he wont be able to defeat danzo. it wont surprise me if sasuke wont get powerful enough for the picking, madara would get somebody close to sasuke get killed in order for sasuke to be hungry for a fight and more power.

It was an ok chapter.....seems as if kishi is going to make this battle last for a couple of chapters with a lot of background story included. Why can't one of them (sasuke or danzo) just die already and get on with the manga. Although I am very curious to learn about danzos past and how and from whom he got the sharingans from. That old geezer is quite a mystery. And did sasuke fall for danzos genjutsu? if so thats a first.... does this mark the decline of his eye sight......

Good and bad news; Naruto is out on www.onemanga.com but it will take about two weeks for the next episode to come out ;( --- I thought that vacations barely existed in Japan... (guess I was wrong), haha (;

This was a double issue, and like Allep said, yeah, no Naruto next week, and after that, there will be another double edition, and another week without Naruto. But, I do remember last year, that the chapter that was supposed to appear after 2 weeks, appeared like normally and we had 3 weeks without Naruto after that. I know the reason why that happened, but, right now, I'm too lasy to explain it. It has something to do with the fact that the manga appears on the internet a week before it appears in stores.

Wow, a Wednesday release and pretty good quality too, those scanlators are getting faster every week. The legit manga publishers need to learn a lesson from these guys on how to get translations out so efficiently My only complaint is that MangaStream leaves bigass watermarks all over their scans. Anyways, chapter 476 continues off with the battle between Sasuke and Danzo, though there’s not much progress in terms of fighting I’m afraid. Rather, most of the chapter is flashbacks and of the fighting we’re only seeing the opening move in what is likely to be a pretty complex battle of genjutsu and ninjutsu. True to Kishi’s style, the chapter ends with a pretty badass cliffhanger, but unfortunately Naruto will be taking a break over Christmas, so we won’t see 477 for another two weeks. The chapter comes with two colored pages, but frankly I was expecting a few more since I wanted to see a colored version of Danzo’s Sharingan arm. The colored full spread on page 2-3 seems to show Sasuke standing in Amegakure; it’s not just that it’s raining, but the pipes, wires and tubing are common design motifs Kishi uses for that village. If it’s true, that may be Sasuke’s future base of operation under Madara’s command. I was wondering what would happen to the Rain village after Nagato’s death, but this picture seems to suggest that it will still remain friendly to Akatsuki. But I bet attitudes will quickly change when they find out that haboring Akatsuki will mean all the major countries will be at war with them. In this fight between Sasuke and Danzo, I’m actually cheering Danzo on. It’s true that I have had little love for either of these characters in the recent chapters, but Sasuke’s been particularly getting on my nerves by pulling out Susano’o in every fight. He’s like a little boy who just got a new toy, so he has to whip it out and show off how awesome he is at every opportunity. Sasuke should take a hint from Itachi and save his trump card when you need it the most. Showing off your most powerful abilities leaves you nothing left to surprise your opponent with in a pinch, and I think we can agree that the element of surprise is key to a shinobi’s victory; indeed his very survival depends on it. As much as I despise that old fox, I love to see Danzo pulling a fast one over Sasuke and get that kid off his high horse. More importantly, I think one of the reasons for this fight is for Sasuke to realize how much he has strayed from the path Itachi wanted him to follow and sacrificed himself for it. Danzo seems to confirm Madara’s story about Itachi being ordered by the elders of Konoha to slaughter his own clan. However, Danzo’s speech about the ugly cost of preserving peace rings so true, especially in this day and age. Like it or not, a lot of us are living a life of relative peace and prosperity because of the sacrifice of others; and we’re rarely aware of the price that is paid or what goes on in the shadows as Danzo puts it. I might disagree with a lot of what Danzo does, but he is like the embodiment of those ugly truths we don’t care to know about. But we do agree on one thing, Sasuke is wasting the opportunity Itachi has given him. It’s ironic that someone with such powerful eyes can be so blind. Whatever the outcome of this battle, I get the feeling that Madara is the real winner here. Once again, he has manipulated those around him to do exactly what he wants, and Danzo is yet another opportunity for him to test his boy toy, Sasuke. I think Danzo is a perfect opponent for Sasuke at the moment, mostly because he has the one thing Sasuke can not achieve through training or forbidden techniques, and that is: experience. As powerful as he has become, Sasuke is impulsive and over-confident; for someone like Danzo, those are easily exploited weaknesses. I don’t know what type of clone Danzo sent in to be crushed by Sasuke’s Susano’o, but it was clearly a move to give him an edge over his opponent by having him reveal his jutsu first, and Sasuke fell for it brilliantly. I used to think Susano’o was just a skeletal demon, but that close up on page 16-17 shows his joints are held together by bolts and screws like he were a puppet or giant action figure. And I just noticed this now, but Susanoo is polydactyl — count them, he has six fingers. It was pretty amazing that Danzo was able to sneak up on Sasuke like that, notice that he was able to trick both Sasuke’s Mangekyou Sharingan and Karin’s keen chakra senses. I don’t know what kind of trippy genjutsu/ninjutsu powers that Sharingan arm of his gives him, but it sure is working well. I didn’t give Danzo much of a fighting chance against Sasuke last week, but after seeing that move all bets are off.

Lastly, on the Naruto front (sometimes we forget who this manga is named after >3>), Kakashi is planning on going after Sakura. I think this will probably mean he will be heading into danger and battles. On the one hand I would love to see more of Kakashi in action, but on the other hand he is technically the next Hokage and shouldn’t be running around chasing after teenage Chuunin. Now the thing that most bothered me about this chapter was Naruto’s little hyperventilating breakdown. I have sympathy for the guy for having so much thrown at him all at once, but at the same time that whole scene just didn’t seem very fitting of a Shonen manga hero; it was just not very Naruto-like. Up to now, Naruto’s most defining feature has been his perseverance. Whatever the challenge, Naruto would stand up for his beliefs and face it… not faint when it seems the world is against him. Then again, maybe he has a fever, I heard that the swine flu was pretty bad in the Land of Iron.
