My point from prev comment on prev chapter, is, Kyuubi is said it has near limitless chakra, which is pretty much limitless, and Hachibi, only 1 tail lower, can be drained? How can a beast of pure chakra be drained out of chakra? Doesn't it regenerate?

So does Killbee die or did he get enough chakra from Samehada to finish off the shark?

Chapter 472 was a really interesting chapter. I don’t think anyone could have foreseen Kisame’s sword actually turning on him for Killerbee! I actually got a good laugh when I saw Kisame punt the poor Samehada out of anger, LOL. In all, I was really glad Kishi decided to finally devote an entire chapter to this battle instead of trying to squeeze one or two other plot lines inside these 17 pages as well. Honestly, he should see this battle to its conclusion before moving on anything else, but that’s just my opinion. From the look of the conclusion of this chapter, it seems the battle is already near its end. This is pretty disappointing as there wasn’t any real fighting between Kisame and Killerbee at all. It took all this time for Kisame to finally reveal his shark-man form, but we don’t get to see any of his new abilities before it’s all over — hence I feel a bit ripped off for having to wait a whole week for this. Also, you can’t call this a real battle since Killerbee couldn’t fight at all because the raccoon and the enka guy were in trouble. Why couldn’t we have a real fight like the one sage mode Naruto had with Pein? I would have liked to see a chess-like tactic battle of wits and jutsus between Killerbee and Kisame; they’re both powerhouses and there’s so little we know of their true powers — it would make for a really interesting battle. But alas, all we get is this underwater game of cat and mouse. Kisame’s water dome was in effect just a super-sized version of the water prison jutsu. I guess it’s the ideal technique to keeping your enemy trapped while incapacitating them at the same time; but does anyone else think how ironic it is that a shark is trying to drown an octopus? Given all the incredible Bijuu abilities and chakra at his disposal, who would have thought that Killerbee would not have the ability to breath underwater? The other thing I couldn’t wrap my head around was how they were talking underwater. You’d think that drowning outweighs any concern about maintaining communication, but then again I guess maintaining the flow of dialogue is pretty important too. I enjoyed the scenes where Killerbee is talking to the Hachibi on their next move, this symbiosis is another reason why I really would like Naruto to form a similar relationship with Kyuubi if that ever becomes possible. The current Kyuubi sees Naruto’s body as a prison, but if he’d willing to recognize that he would benefit from a symbiotic relationship with Naruto, I think that would be an excellent level up for his growth. That said, it could very well be impossible in Naruto’s case as well. After Killerbee underwent a partial transformation to keep Kisame at bay with his tentacles, Kisame mentions that Killerbee is known as the “perfect host” — which probably explains why Killerbee’s Bijuu powers are so much more advanced than what we’ve seen in other Jinchuuriki. If that’s so, maybe Naruto will be unable to obtain this level of power with the Kyuubi if he does not possess a “perfect host” body. I know that Naruto is already pretty powerful now that he has sage mode, but it would be such a shame to allow all the potential that is Kyuubi go to waste. Some might say that tapping into Kyuubi’s chakra is going down the path to the dark side, but it was Minato who put that beast inside Naruto in the first place; even Minato admits that he did that in order to give Naruto the power to fight Madara in the future. Therefore I still believe, regardless of whatever sage abilities Naruto may develop in the future, he must come to terms with his Kyuubi powers if he hopes to defeat Madara. I think we all saw that ink screen Killerbee used coming when we first saw him produce ink from his mouth in the last chapter. But like a shark drawn to blood, Kisame can smell Killerbee’s charka from miles away and takes him down even in the ink cloud. I had hoped that Killerbee would use anther tentacle clone to escape, but from the Hachibi’s comments it looks like it’s the real Killerbee who is lying helplessly in front of his enemy. Furthermore, Hachibi is even saying that his chakra has almost all been stolen by Samehada, that’s quite remarkable seeing how immense Bijuu charka levels are. The most remarkable thing, of course, comes when Kisame is about to cut of Killerbee’s legs and his own sword Samehada turn on his master. It seems that Killerbee’s octopus flavoured chakra was so delicious that Samehada has decided to go with its stomach and side with Killerbee. The scene that follows is pretty epic: like a feral dog, Samehada bites the hand of the man that used to feed him to protect his future meal ticket; so much for shark-man’s best friend. And when Samehada actually has the audacity to begin transferring charka back to Killerbee, Samehada can’t take this betrayal any longer and punts the poor thing away. Seriously, that was the funniest thing I’ve seen in Naruto in quite a while (I miss the LOL-type humor that was so common in Naruto in the old days ). Who would of thought that Samehada would become Killerbee’s unlikely ally. Kisame’s still determined to catch his prey regardless, I only hope that the small opening Samehada provided for Killerbee is enough for him to stop Kisame.

Ha-ha-ha...that's one hell of a turn of events! XD who would've guessed that Samehada will turn against Kisame? Your weapon betraying you in the middle of a fight?! Doesn't seem like good news! I bow in front of Kishi and his geniusness XD

lol...interesting..Old man Kisame 'bitten' by samahada...it was quite touching..as he stood in front of Bee giving him some charka.I am sure samahada i tired of Kisame's bloodlust and wrong acts coupled with the fact that his chakra level is 'Delicious'...I hope Kishi would finish this battle before switching to another line...

now the fight is even. kisame won't have the unfair disadvantage over bee. he can't eat his chakra anymore, since samehada turned its fangs against him. i personally think kisame is not yet showing his ultimate jutsus, and we have not seen a true fight between the two superpower monsters. i don't think kisame is trying to drown the octopus but his two companions, and used this situation to his advantage. he used the water prison so bee couldn't get so far and so he could easily take hold of him so that he could take/deplete bee's chakra. those pincers when they were locked together were from kisamehada, sucking his chakra. bee took the bait indeed. so strategically done like a true shinobi, kisame has my respect. all bee has been trying to do so far was to cancel the disadvantage and even out the battle. samehada did that for him. now the fight is on leveled. we shall expect bee to take the offense this time and kisame will be forced to show his other most formidable independent/personal jutsus. i don't think kisame's powers all reside in his possession of the insatiable chakra sucker samehada (imagine, it could deplete much of the chakra of an 8-tail bijuu! amazing power!). but now that samehada is out of the fight, we can see the real powers of the two monsters and see an epic battle worth remembering. :)

yeah, or Naruto is forced to using kyubi chakra when fighting someone and can just barely control it, so he realize that he must learn to control it. Uh oh, I just remember that sage chakra and fox chakra can't be synchroned (fox refused to accept Pa toad when he going to fuse with Naruto in sage mode)

@19, Kyuubi rejected Pa. Naruto was able to fuse his 2 chakras (Spiritual and one another, required for ninjutsu, forgot which), Sage (nature) and Fox's (kyuubi's) all using at once, when he met Pein. Note that it's probably Kishi's idea of being the strongest, combining kyuubi sage and his chakra in a perfect harmony, which, to be honest, is frigin scary, taking into account that Sage chakra can be replaced very quickly and never be left without it, Kyuubi has infinite chakra, and Naruto's chakra reserves are pretty huge.

THE POSSIBILITIES ARE: 1. KISAME WIN THE FIGHT: he'll fight naruto AND sasuke fight danzo 2. BEE WIN THE THE FIGHT: bee+samehada fight sasuke (again) AND naruto fight danzo+byakugan

SPOILER CONFIRMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A simple spoiler. Kisame went berserk and used the Hachibi's chakra and was found by Raikage and co. He gets hit with a Double Lariat from the brothers and is decapitated and dies. (Not sure about the decapitation but he does die) Ao is caught by the Mizukage and pretends to be an ally at first but is found out by Mizukage right away. She hits him in the face and brings him back to his senses. It ends with Sai trying to tell Naruto the things that Sakura couldn't.

My prediction.... Raikage will inform Bee about Danzo's betrayal and they will attack Konoha and Bee will fight Naruto there.

@Semaka: That's a possibility..However, as I remember Raikage has given order to Gaara to tell Kakashi about this so all of a sudden why would he attack Konoha, but on the other hand I do think that Killer Bee might do this if he isn't told about everything.

i have a feeling kisame will die since every member of akatsuki nv survives after taking off their coat.

@32 ... False... Hidan never took down his Akatsuki robe, yet he is dead. I used to think the same thing, but, no, that's not a fact. Pain never took his robe yet he lost. The robe from what I used as a cover for their special moves, you couldn't tell that Sasori was a puppet until he took off his robe, you couldn't see Kakuzu's back masks because of his robe, you couldn't see Deidara's chest mouth because of the robe, Kisame took his robe off because he changed his appearance and you couldn't see the fish appearance ... so the robe was removed so that you could see the true colors of the Akatsuki members. The members who died with the robe on, didn't have a secret under it.

it is too soon for kisame to die, yes there was a time when we we wanted more akatsuki dead for us to know more about them, but there is a small amount of akatsukis, it is too soin for him to die. as for bee, he will definitley live because i dont think that kishi will identify him as the perfect host if he wont help naruto become a host even better than he is. the plot is getting too good, I HOPE THIS ISNT THE BEGINING OF THE END OF THIS SERIES.

Actually, Pain lost his cloak in the fight. Only exception is Hiddan, which we do not know whether he is really dead or just out of the game

I've actually read chapter 473, but I won't confirm anything for those who wanna wait for the sleepyfans version to come out.

Hidan is dead, because he needed to perform those rituals to keep him immortal. He can't perform those rituals in that state, so he is dead. Hidan's primary ability was his inability to die, a result of extensive experimenting with the Jashin religion's various jutsu. To maintain this immortality, he must kill others, though it was unclear how many or how often. And Pain, well, he lost his left arm and chest area of the robe, he never removed it completely like the other members. Anyway, I think Samehada will "revive" somehow Kisame. He dies way too easy.

Kisame got his head off, Killerbee saved with d help from his brother, the Ao guy also saved by his Ladyboss..but what i cant agree is, and if i have a chance i will smack down Sai right now bcoz he just cant keep secret!!! why would he care 4 the things that Sakura couldnt tell Naruto anyway? why dont he just shut his mouth up! i mean, let Sakura face Sasuke, and if Sakura got luck, Sasuke might spare her life...well is Kishi going to carry on like this, than the climax is almost near then....the battle between Naruto and Sasuke....wow that really so fast...i dont even prepared yet for them to match.... of coz i do wish Kishi will started the battle btwn Madara and the Kages first before the ultimate battle!!! i just finished watching Naruto shippuudden ep137... Itachi look so handsome with his Mangekyou Sharingan (nice work for the subb team)... its so sad that Kishi ended his character (in anime soon)..such a waste... its kind a strange 4 me in this episode, bcoz Sasuke really look like a bad guy, and Itachi look soo..innocent...hehehe, maybe bcoz i already read the manga

@#49 Its possible because right before Kisame head was cut off, he made a seal. The question. Was he able to complete the seal? What was the result of that jutsu?

I am also curious what that seal was, and I don't think Kisame is out for good. First he was killed way to easy, he is the easiest defeated Akatsuki member so far in a final fight. It's sad how delayed this site has been lately in uploading the latest episodes and chapters. We're actually posting about chapter 473 under the comments of 472. I also have a feeling that Kisame isn't totally gone... that was just too easy, VERY anti-climactic, and disappointing. I expected to see a lot more from a character who's never really been in a serious fight before, and who was regarded as having the chakra levels of a tailed beast. If that is really the end me him then it seems like Kishi is cutting corners now to get somewhere fast.

Hiramekarei the sword and its meaning: Samehada is the word used mostly when your talking about shark skin. Surprising enough there is a famous and expensive dish called “Shark-fin Soup” in China and Japan. Now, let look at the name “Hirame-karei”. This is the name of flounder fish and its commonly served in restaurants in sushi. The Summer Flounder is Hirame and the Winter Flounder is Karei. Interesting that Kishi would used name like this. Maybe one day while having dinner he came across the ideal to make the swords of one of the seven swords men. Like Naruto, which is a fish-cake that is commonly served with ramen soup. The Winter Flounder has its face on the right and the Summer Flounder had its face on the left. Expect that the sword will also be named in this fashion. This can also explain why the sword has two handles . If you put both together, Winter(hirame) on the right and Summer(karei) on the left, you get a complete sword, or fish! LOL The interesting thing is that if I am right, then this sword might be like Samehada. It may have a mouth for each Hirame and karei. Looking at this image http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/466/04/ you can clearly see that the sword has two openings that look or function like mouths. Its possible that Chojuro is channeling his chakra through the sword to increase its effects. Look closely and you can see the charka form something that looks like the head of a hammer that was used to pound the enemy, Sasuke into the wall. Oh, and the handles are chained together like nun-chucks.

@comment #67 chelor83: I deduced it from the name in which Kishi used for Chojuro's sword. Just like Samehada, I looked at the name to find out how it was made. There is no real meaning to the Hiramekarei. Its not like Samehada which indeed mean shark skin. So I decided to break the word up. You can do it in man ways but I used to more common and logical. It can simple mean right and left. Also, ninja are also known to used these types of swords. One sword that have both a right side and left side that can be separated. I also did the name of the 4th Hokage. The name mean harbor wave. I guess Kish used that as the way he fought the enemy. The Yellow (hair) Flash (the jutsu) was just a miss guiding alias. LOL. I hope my deduction come close to Kishi true meaning.

Indeed the kunoichis of NC are epitomes of cool! XD anyway, on the possibility that Bee will attack Konoha. I can only think of one reason. I think Madara can control not only the Kyuubi but also the Hachibi by using his MS. That is the other reason Minato split the chakra of the Kyuubi carefully and sealed it within Naruto but one half of it he sealed it further (so a seal within a seal; like prison within a prison, or a padlocked cage within a vault) so that the MS would not be able to control the Kyuubi since a part of it remains sealed. So since the Hachibi is not caged within Bee, its chakra is susceptible not only to being sucked/drained by outside forces (such as the great parasite sword Samehada) but also to being controlled by a much more powerful force outside and separate from its host. In the same way that Samehada acted like an anti-Bijuu and got the Hachibi almost powerless, so would Madara be able to manipulate the Hachibi in Bee in the same way he manipulated the Sanbi that is within the Third Mizukage Yagura.

what do you guys think will happen to samehada? will bee take it as his own? would he still need such a chakra-sucking creature if he already got tons of chakra through the hachibi? if the samehada can also absorb jutsus like the hungry ghost pain and not only chakras then it can be useful also as a shield not only as a sword. But if Bee would be able to fuse with it then how do think is a shark-finned octopus look like? So would Bee take the Samehada or not? XD

I think bee will indeed take the samehada under his wing, well actually it's vice versa. Samehada will leech onto bee just like he did with kisame.

Naruto could be the new Pain in the sense that he could make clones and fight the war from frog land (Myoboku Mtn). He could just stay there and train, eat weird food, and be all sage like, while his clones hand down the fury to the akastuki. This way Naruto could help his friends and keep safe at the same time. Everyone would wonder "where is the real one".

its possible that danzou will defeat madara, provided he knows madara too well even his weaknesses and takes over his plans for himself and become the ultimate bad guy. it is also possible that madara is just testing danzou's strength then after offer a deal, come to think of it danzou can offer a lot to madara considering madara is running low on manpower right now because of the loss of a lot of akatsuki members and sasuke's group might not be too trustworthy. eitherway this scenarious will sprout a lot of exciting fight scenes and art of war exploits.

I think we'll see uchiha shisui's sharingan and it's abilities at last , but don't forget that madara has 7 beasts (within) him

I can think of 2 things about Madara vs Danzo: 1. There will be an actual fight between them 2. There will be a moment like: "So, Danzo, what news do you have for me?"

So the connections between Danzo and Madara is coming to light. Now the question that is important! Was Madara talking about Shushi in reference to the Uchiha business? Or! Was Madara talking about the Uchiha class killings in reference to the Uchiha business? In an earlier post I mentioned that Itachi was not capable of killing all the members of the clan. Only Madara at the time had that amount of power and he is even more powerful now.

The manga is out! Very interesting indeed!

Next chapter I hope will reveal Danzo's secret.

Just a thought, kishi announced that three new akatsuki members would be disclosed, how about, Danzo, Fuu and Torune join up with madara?

This chapter was truly..........sad O___0 And what's even worse is that i felt sorry for...for...SAKURA O.o I hate her 'til no end, true, but i couldn't help it. This is a first for me XD And hopefully the last! >.> As guessed, she is going to kill him, or so she plans. I doubt that she will succeed though. If someone is going to die then she is the one and for the first time i wish she wouldn't (by Sasuke's hand at least) because that would make matters worse. "If you're truly prepared to take up the mantle of a kage,then as Sasuke's friend you know what you have to do" I really wonder what Gaara meant by this. Did he really encourage Naruto to kill his best friend only to prove his worthiness as a future Hokage? Kinda like a...maturity test of sorts? O.o And why does Gaara believe that Naruto can do it? Or let his other friends do it while he sits idly?I doubt somehow that Naruto will also adopt Sakura's resolution. Killing him in order to end his misery, it's not his way of doing things. Gah...the so much desired "happy ending" is going farther and farther away with each chapter. The battle between them seems just like a way for Kishi to buy some time(i don't know...cuz he wants to think what he wants to do with Sasuke, with the up-coming war, etc,etc). i think for now naurto will do nothing, he cant stop his clan from trying to kill sasuke, or he cant stop sasuke from defending himself from his former clan.

what a revealing statement from madara: long time no see danzo since the uchiha incident, isn't it? it must mean the killing of the uchiha clan which includes the killing of shishui. if it was a specific incident such as the killing of shisui, madara could have referred to it in particular, and not to the whole uchiha clan. simply put, madara and danzo met with each other on those incidents. they were there. but how were they as participants in the incident? who's guilty of the massacre? itachi could not single-handedly kill everyone, even with a very compelling reason as to avoid a mutiny. i pointed out before that killing the conspirators and the combatants may have been enough already to quell the mutiny so the killing of the innocents, the women and the children, is unnecessary. madara was lying about the real purpose for the massacre. itachi could not have done it; and even if he did, he could not have done it only for that purpose. it would only be necessary to kill everyone if it was a requirement to acquire or develop further the cursed power of the sharingan -- or prevent someone from having it. that would necessarily mean madara has a hand in it, he who was first and foremost obsessed about the true power of the sharingan. itachi said he sought madara out (why? is that because madara only has the power to kill everybody? and that itachi could not do it himself?) and danzo, knowing his compulsive desire to keep the powers of the sharingan and the byakugan as konoha's property, could have either prevented such a massacre against madara or he took part in it so he could have the sharingan (shisui's) for himself (most probably as part of a deal with madara). if madara and danzo were allies, then why are they fighting now? i'm so excited about ch.475, hopefully we'll know already what really happened that night of the uchiha massacre. specifically, at least and at last, we'll now hear danzo's side.

@95/rogue-nin. it kinda seems that gaara is saying if you're the kage you must make painful decisions for the people's sake and for the whole ninja world's sake. that would mean stop sasuke from going further in the dark and doing evil deeds that would eventually destroy innocent lives. and if that would mean killing him, then so be it. gaara is justifying his resolve to not show mercy on sasuke (in other words, killing him) when the situation demands it; and he is warning naruto that he would have to make that resolve himself, not only as a (future) kage, but as sasuke's friend. do you want your friend to be evil and to kill innocent lives? sakura it seems has already made a similar resolve. even itachi gave him the means to go against sasuke if the situation so requires. now what would naruto do? what is his decision? would he continue to be a fool for his 'brother' and join him in the path of darkness (in an attempt to at least understand him)? just how deep is his faith in sasuke (particularly, in sasuke's innate goodness and intelligence)? how much does he love him? and if love demands the good of the other, then does that warrant incapacitating the beloved to do evil, even to the point of killing him? would naruto then decide to kill sasuke (just as jiraiya decided to kill pain in order to save the world)?
