@vincent. yeah i have been looking for at least the past two hours at the various sites that talk about kishi interviews, unfortunately this interview has not authenticated its source. no particular name and date to the interview and the magazine article that featured it. so it must be fake. as we all know, anyone could put some 'predictions' that actually happened already (vaticina ex eventu) in order to bolster/generate credibility for a prediction that has not happened yet but is claimed to surely happen in the immediate future. besides, some of the predictions were misses, as the events already happened in the manga and did not come out as it was said in the supposed interview (e.g., that someone will die and another will lose his eyesight in the battle between tobi and the konoha nins).

Ok. So. One of the new Akatsuki members that will appear is a relative of a Hokage .. Whom do we know so far being related to Hokages? Naruto, Konohamaru and Tsunade as far as I remember. In Naruto's case, well, i don't see Kushina being a new Akatsuki member... I say 1% chance in that happening, since we don't know much about her. They all say she's dead, so, let's leave it that way. Konohamaru's parents...hmm, could be, but then again, we haven't heard something about them, so, 1% chance of that happening. Tsunade..well, we have seen her past, and no relative except her dead brother is mentioned. So, we can rule out a relative of Tsunade. 1'st and 2'nd Hokage's relatives, are out of the question, I don't think we will see a 2nd Tobi. So, could it be a relative of the 4th? Or Danzo's relative? I doubt Danzo's relative because the prediction was made in 2008, Danzo wasn't a Hokage back then, and I doubt Kishi taught that far, so... could it be... ?

Naruto 470 is another great chapter, I think the story is going at a nice pace and it was nice that Kishi is now devoting more screen time for Kisame and Killerbee’s battle. I’m not quite sure what is going on in Sakura’s mind right now, but she’s clearly intent on finishing this business between Naruto, Sasuke and herself one way or another. If the others are smart, they’ll keep a close eye on her and stop her from doing anything reckless like she’s planning to. On the other hand, if she is able to track down Sasuke, it would be an interesting reunion. I was expecting one of two reactions from Sakura after Naruto basically shot her down last chapter. She would either revert to her weaker self and start crying or lean on her stronger self and become confrontational. Sakura reacted in the latter way and I think it’s a lot more realistic. Even if it was mostly lies, she did drag herself all the way here to talk to Naruto, so I understand why she’d be pretty pissed when Naruto pretty much pulled the rug from underneath her feet. Now if this was Naruto say three years ago, I bet he would react to Sakura’s scorn like a little puppy and obediently follow her back to Konoha. Good thing Naruto has grown wiser and understands what’s really going on beneath the surface. Naruto understands that he is not just saving Sasuke for Sakura, but also saving him from himself. Too bad Naruto can’t tell his friends what Madara revealed about what really happened to the Uchiha clan, but I can see why Kakashi is cautious about spreading such information around. There might be some serious political upheavals if it was revealed that Konoha ordered the slaughter of one of its own clans. It looks like even though her “confession” plan failed, Sakura is far from giving up. Sakura tells Kiba to help her track down Sasuke, which is doubtful to succeed at the moment since Sasuke is in Madara’s dimension right now. The expression on Sakura’s face as she turns away from Naruto indicates she feels very guilty about setting Naruto on this painful quest, and plans to make everything right again by any means possible. However, I’m not quite sure what she plans on doing even if she finds Sasuke. 1. She may try to convince Sasuke to come back herself, but this is doomed to fail as Sasuke has fallen even deeper to the dark side; 2. She plans on killing/incapacitate Sasuke and bring him back by force herself, this is even less likely to succeed and probably end up with she and her teammates dead; 3. If Sakura’s love for Sasuke is blind enough, she may join Sasuke’s side and actively help him — this is probably the least likely scenario as Sakura is not that naïve anymore. Hopefully if Lee, Sai or Kiba have any backbone in them, they’ll convince Sakura to be reasonable and give up trying to find Sasuke herself. A confusing bit on page 7 shows what looks like a clone of Sai spying on Sakura and the others as they walk away. I don’t know why Sai needs a clone to spy on Sakura when he’s standing right by her; maybe he’ll use it to inform Naruto about Sakura’s crazy plan? The short scene with the Tsuchikage and his men was interesting. Looks like Gaara’s words actually got to the old man’s heart, lol, reminds me of how Naruto’s words rubbed off on Gaara. I originally thought that the Tsuchikage might be the one to abuse the new alliance to his own benefit, but if he’s willing to change his ways then maybe this alliance thing has a chance after all. The fun bit in this chapter is of course the Killerbee vs. Kisame fight. As expected, Punta ends up with a first round KO, but at least Kisame spared the raccoon’s life. The enka ninja guy goes at Kisame with his giant axe, but it doesn’t look like he has anything special up his sleeves to tip the balance of the battle. I chuckled when Killerbee threw that pencil at Kisame and nearly created a new hole in the shark man’s skull. Kisame says the piercing power of Killerbee’s lightning chakra is greater than that of wind chakra, and could have killed him if it made contact. Kisame stopped grinning now that he realizes that this jinchuuriki is very much capable of killing him if he‘s reckless. Seconds later, Killerbee almost does finish off Kisame in the opening moments of this fight with a lightning fast pincer manoeuvre, but Samehada’s chakra absorbing powers saves fish dude’s ass. Nevertheless, Killerbee manages to draw first blood, and I think it’s the first time that I’ve seen Kisame actually bleeding from a fight. But I wonder what Killerbee will do now that he’s chakra-based abilities, including his Bijuu cloak, are being nullified. Samehada is probably the ideal anti-Bijuu weapon since the thing that makes all tailed beasts most terrifying is their immense chakra (also, notice that the unwrapped Samehada has a mouth). Although Killerbee is fast and fairly strong, I doubt he can beat Kisame using just plain taijutsu alone. Maybe a full Bijuu transformation is in order? Oh and one funny thing I noticed is that like Kisame’s fight with Guy, Killerbee can’t seem to remember his opponent’s name either Poor Kisame gets no respect.

Here are the predictions from back then. Well, you can decide if they are authentic, but if Kishi didn't make these predictions, then the guy who made them up was pretty damn close: 1. Akatsuki Leader's (Pain / Madara) strength cannot be matched even by 3 Sannin of the Leaf. @85, I wrote 'the kind of girlS' in the Naruto-movies, but yes, for instance the girl in the first shippuuden movie whom was riding Narutos back. Not only is she cute and good looking, but she ALSO actually has a peronality - and a charming one. The same goes for the girl in the second shippuuden movie. I actually like all of the girls that we've seen so far in Naruto, when he's travaled around, (I count the fillers too). --- In my opinion, it's way more romantic meeting and getting a girl that way, rather than just hooking up with someone in your neighbourhood that you know of. In my opinion, I don't think Bee can beat Kisame if he only uses 8 tail form and taijutsu..however, my prediction is that Naruto will be in SAGE MODE then discovered their battle location and jumped in and kick Kisame's ass, how? Kisama's sword absorbs chakra but the problem can the sword itself handle SAGE chakra and Frog kata can kick Kisame's ass w/o even touching him and rasen shuriken as well.

Melo @ 61. I don't agree with your opinion that Naruto don't have any romantic feelings for Hinata. In the fillers, they have shown them on small dates. Hinata often cooks for Naruto. I would say that the reason that they don't go out for ramen is because she is doing all the cooking for them. Naruto a bold statement to her and said that she will make a good wife one day. Considering the culture, that is a mega bonus flirt comment. Another thing, I think Hinata grow more not as she realized that her feelings is no longer a crush but its blossomed into LOVE!

I agree that Hinata made the situation worse but there is something we must account to her; as Naruto saw her go down it built a rage in him that was so complete that it drove him over the edge. With him knowledge that the village was destroyed, he was getting his revenge in sage mode. I am inclined to think that because of his hidden LOVE for Hinata, that feeling of hopelessness, not being able to stop PEIN at that point was just too much for him. I think Kishi wanted to show that Naruto do have strong feeling for Hinata, feelings far stronger than the reader expected.

Allep1 @ 83. I disagree. Hinata is the right girl for Naruto. She is subtle and gentle. Hinata is the saya for Naruto. Naruto is like a blade of love that have tasted the blood of hopelessness. He cuts go deep. Destroying anything in its path for peace. Soft on the outside and beautiful, she is strong and non wavering. When ever she is not there Naruto loses control. When she is around, Naruto is much more stable in battle. Look at all the pass battle Naruto have had. I think Kishi made the right choice for Naruto. Hinata complements him. (Look at Kenshin or even Goku even though he is calm and Chichi is a terror. LOL)

Melo @ 86. I episode was then Naruto, Kiba, Hinata, and Shino when looking for the beatle that sould sniff out Sasuke. She was working on her own technique that is similar to Neji's. She was practicing on the water in the river at night so that she could prove to her father and to others that she is strong. Remember that her father didn't think she was strong enough to be the princess of the Hyuga clan and chose her little sister to train for the position.

Semaka @ 111. It is possible that the relative to the Hokage is Danzo. However, we don't know all the relatives of the first and the second Hokages. Noticed that no mention of sisters with any of the Hokages. I say that the Akatsuki member is a relative of the 3rd Hokage. The only son or daughter we know from the 3rd is Asuma and his brother. The Satobi family is a large one, as large as the Hyuga. I think that they are direct descendants of the Senju (aka the clan that practice Senjutsu).

Im guessing that one of the two new members of akatsuki is Kabuto.

danzou could be the brother of the third hokage..and he might be one of the new akatsuki members..as stated that it would be a brother/sister of a hokage.

I totally agree hinata is right girl for Naruto, she compliments him in everyway, she's been by Naruto side in the most toughest situations and always believed him. And I also think Naruto has begun to acknowlegde her. Kisame can and may defeat Killerbee but I dont think he can defeat naruto. Naruto doesnt even need to learn a new jutsu or train harder to defeat Kisame. Naruto's sagemood is enough to turn Kisame's sword into a rocky toad and then there is rasen-shuriken to finish things up.

Well, I wonder why u all keep spelling the name of the former Akatsuki leader "Pein". I think "Pain" was what was used in the manga, as in extreme suffering. Or am I missing something? As for the one who'll go blind, I think its our beloved Kakashi Senpai, and I sure hope am wrong. And with the battle between Kisami and Bee, I don't see the suspense in that, the winner has already been determined, either way bee is gonna win, with or without help.

Kontrol people spell Pein as this because in the original translations that's how it was spelled.

Hinata is obviously the right girl for Naruto and I haven't waived that. It's just that I myself do not like the character that is Hinata. What I've said is that I'd wish for another girl to be the right one for him, even though I'm pretty convinced that it won't be the case.

I don't have any problems with shy girls, I really don't, (quite the opposite actually), but nevertheless I hope that Kishi will put in a bit of a character in her and give her a little personality, so that we don't only see her acting in a certain kind of way no matter what's the situation. The way that she's been behaving up until now is rather predictable. I'm sure I'll like her eventually though, as I believe that Kishi will fulfill my wishes about her =).

When I am finished reading the interesting ones, I paste all my comments into the forum. If you look at most of my post, you will see that I reply one after the other. Pain would win against either Sasuke or Itachi. Just assume the same sequence of attacks as we saw against Jiraiya... Pain would start by sending the summoner who would hide inside the chameleon and throw consecutive summons. It doesn't matter which uchiha is there, eventually they would be worn down. I'm not even convinced that Pain would have to summon more bodies. The only reason he had to against Jiraiya was that ma toad used 'creature detection jutsu' and found the chameleon. Even with Susanoo, it would just be a matter of time. Assuming the ultimate of good luck prevailed for the uchiha and all 6 of Pain's bodies were beaten, nagato would not be found and 6 more Pains would soon be hunting whoever they previously fought.

Pain sounds more painful because, that is what it literally means. But Pein was a name making reference to "pain". It doesn't matter, it's just a mistake when they translated it.

XD well naruto said he liked hinata (when he was training for the chu'unin exam). but it seems it was not romantically inclined, it was a pure and honest liking of the character/the attitude of hinata. unlike naruto's desire for sakura that he was actually imagining the two of them together or going on dates. if the fillers where naruto and hinata are 'going on dates' are to be taken as canon, then that'd be good. but it can be a date between real friends. my point is there must be some degree of sexual attraction for the relationship to be deemed romantic, and not platonic. as it stands, naruto couldn't believe himself to jump into that level yet; he is not even prepared to see that hinata is one hot babe. that's why he thought he could be imagining things when he saw hinata training/bathing at the falls. the one thing that is worth noting there was naruto described the girl as super-pretty. that manifests sexual attraction, however, he still couldn't reconcile that it was hinata. he either have so much respect for hinata or his mind is yet closed to the reality or possibility that he'd be romantically involved with hinata. Do you think up things to write about in advance, or does it come naturally on spot as you're writing a comment? answer: love. love for the manga gives me the energy, and the coolness of our community here. i don't feel inhibited in sharing my crazy theories and in thinking out loud about my opinions. most of the time, i first read through all the posts; and then i write my comments/reactions/response per post direct to the box. so i get that many times -- that don't spam notice -- and so i'd type again. and come up with a better version of what i just wrote. sometimes i'm just bored or too tired from work and i want to unwind i go to NC and I think of some scenarios in the plot, analyze motivations and plans, causes and effects so I could share something in the community as I undoubtedly learn much from all your insightful posts also. :)

@ naruhina. i wonder what hinata would do when she hears that sakura also made a confession to naruto. would hinata step up to fight for her love (once again!), or would she rather shy away and convince herself that naruto would never like her as a girlfriend. as i see it, or as i observed from the reactions she had when naruto would appear like he's asking her out or when his face is just too close for comfort, hinata herself could not contain her own emotions. she couldn't handle the fact that she and naruto would end up together. she faints, just like that. but i don't discount the fact that she can make the moves, and stand up for what she feels for naruto. from the very start, she loved naruto; she went to give him that ointment to naruto after his fight even if it seems inappropriate. and most recently, she risked her own life to save naruto, and confessed her love, knowing that she would die saving the one she loves. and she even called herself selfish, and apologized. so my bet is she would give sakura a good fight -- to the 'death'. and that would mean perhaps, introducing some cool changes and/or revealing unprecedented hotness that naruto would have never imagined she actually had. @kisame/samehada merger. whoaah i never imagined kisame to be one of the strongest members of the akatsuki! he could really be termed as a '0-tail jichuuriki' as samehada could take in enormous chakras of bijuu levels and transfer it to kisame (in dozes that kisame's body can take, most probably). samehada acts as a conduit or a power converter/adapter for kisame. as long as samehada can get chakra from the opponent kisame can indeed have the same amount of chakra as the enemy. though as of now, kisame still is trying to shave as much chakra from bee in order to level with his power. bee should find a way that he can only give the 'yang chakra' of the bijuu so it is not readily consumable by the enemy, or if he could force some form of abnormal chakra that would cause 'indigestion' to samehada/kisame to disrupt the shark's chakra flow and make him stop shaving chakra from his ass. as of now we can equate kisame as like the other characters who feed on the chakra of their opponents, most recent example, is hungry ghost realm pain. the question is therefore, how were these other chakra-feeding characters defeated? it may give us some clue as to how bee can beat the shark's oil out of kisame.

“eat nature energy instead of chakra??” It’s like having vegatables and having cake, Samehada doesn’t HAVE to eat chakra to survive (at least this has never been stated) it simply likes too, and cake (high levels of chakra like bijju’s) are preferable to vegatables (Natural energy). “Nature energy is Different from actual Chakra” Natural Energy and SAGE CHAKRA are two different thigns, Senjutsu converts natural energy into sage chakra for the user to use. when “its channled as chakra” that’s when Samehada would eat it. “i never said Senjutsu is limitless” I was refering to this “senjutsu chakra neva finishes” “to eat to much Sage energy” Samehada has a mouth correct? so I assume he can close that mouth if Sage chakra was starting to overpower him. Unlike HG, Naruto can’t pump sage chakra into samehada (because of how open he would be) though as stated above, it can absorb more chakra than HG.

I agree sven11, Pain is much cooler. Well vincenthieu, I don’t know what more you expect Hinata to do for naruto. A that shy a girl who passed out anytime she saw Naruto, getting the courage to defend naruto against Pein(lol, Pain preferred) knowing very well she had no chance, then confessing her love because she knew it was her final moments, I think she has already done it all.

To all in the forum: I was looking at Kisame and his sword Samehada (shark skin), and I think that Kisame didn't always look like a shark. My theory is that Kisame came by the sword the way Suigetsu is thinking about obtaining it, by killing Kisame. Kisame killed the previous user and then forge a symbiotic relationship with the sword as it may need a host in order to feed. After forming some form of jutsu to join with the sword, I think that it changed Kisame into what we see now. its no surprised that the sword is shark-like and Kisame is the same way as well. This sword can be a cursed demon that just feeds on chakra. We always thought that Kisame was some type of sage due to the fact that he looked animal like-just like Jiraiya in sage mode or even Naruto. I think that Suigetsu's theory is that if he kills Kisame, he can then bond or join with the sword Samehada and become a better wielder of the sword that Kisame himself. I was not able to figure out when this joining may have formed but it must have been shortly before Kisame joined the Seven Swordmen Of The Hidden Mist. I can even stretch it and say that Madara (aka Mizukage) may have had a hand in helping Kisame become what he is now. Hence, the strong bond Kisame had to Madara. Let me know what you guys think about my theroy.

I always get a "feel good" kinda feeling when reading all your posts here, and the simplicity of site use makes it all the better, one love to u all for the comments... I think naruto has had his eyes opened by Hinata's confession during his fight with pain, i mean, the guy went ballistic when he saw her go down against pain... for me it was one of the most touching moments in the entire manga at par with Jiraya's will to pass on the necessary information to naruto before he died. Sakura's confession came out more like a confrontation to naruto, the promise he had made was in private with her and right now with the amount of training, blood and sweat sacrificed in sasukes' pursuit, to just do an about face on his goal is just not naruto in anyway. i hope Sai gets a better perspective of the situation at hand since he technically cajoled sakura into the pit she dug. ... truth be told i like Kisame, he's analytic, quick and a loaded chakra cannon. He knows his place in the scheme of things right now and was very aware of his limits around itachi. together they were probably the strongest pair in akatsuki and indeed they were "undefeated" i know they had to bail out against jiraya cos of the circumstances of that match up tho...... I truly have no preference for any in the battle with bee though i feel it will be essential for naruto to probably acquire some skills with the bijuu and swords from Bee.... i just want to see how the fight unfolds between the 'chakra pie' Killer Bee, and the "chakra leech" samehada/Kisame... of note is the speed with which the sword bleeds chakra from its opponent.

With all that is going on with the village, I think there's little room for romance in naruto's head. I personally don't think naruto has noticed hinata yet, with suske's head on the line, granny in bed and the village in ruins, I don't think naruto's little head can accommodate romantic feelings. From my point of view the only thing that prevented naruto from running into sakura's arms is timing, poor timing from sakura, hinata didn't matter, at least not yet.

Great fight going on... Kisame is one badass villain... I hope v get to see more cool moves from both of them apart from bee powering up and samehada absorbing them... and i dont think tat ao will get killed just yet... About d 3 supposedly new akatsuki members, how powerful can they be if they are the most powerful yet.. i mean after itachi, kisame and pain, they gotta be some really really powerful if u know wat i mean.

if madara has got something to do with kisame/samehada's power then it must be the ability to fuse with each other. just was when the gedo mazo was fused with pain. so it could be possible that hanzo/danzo's attempt at assassinating yahiko was after all madara's plan so that nagato could summon the gedo mazo and fuse with it. he needed to subject nagato to such an intense emotional turmoil to awaken the 'beast' just like what madara did to sasuke in the recent fight with the kages. remember that the gedo mazo's ability is to suck in souls, including other bijuus, and not only their chakras. so it is much more powerful and much more 'hungry' than samehada. if the gedo mazo acts more like the samehada in relation to kisame then madara could use the gedo mazo as a chakra storage system where he could draw an unlimited chakra reserve; so he could fight endlessly and could not be beaten, since the bijuus power will just heal and restore him. however i wonder what mifune has pointed out when he said that madara would not come and make the offer if madara could just use the 7 bijuus power if it has not risks. there is something that stops madara from using the 7 bijuus right away so he wanted instead to get the two remaining bijuus in a 'peaceful way.' he sure lacked people to get bijuus for him, his last card is kisame. if kisame fails then he only got black zetsu, though i think the white half can still be revived once fused with the black one. wait, come to think of it, zetsu's jutsu is to absorb chakra and transfer the chakra to someone he wishes to receive it, again, much like samehada. and samehada looks really like a fusion of aloe vera and venus flytrap. could it be that the samehada is a relative of zetsu?lol. seriously, that means if zetsu could tap from the gedo mazo and get bijuus chakra from it, then he could transfer it to madara. as a pair, madara and zetsu with the gedo mazo are an indestructible and invincible immortal.

however, i think this jutsu madara has yet to use it for himself but for saske. remember he meant to sync sasuke with the gedo mazo. that means he has a bigger plan, and that needs sasuke as a tool and a weapon. i think he will use sasuke as the 'nuclear weapon' that will put all the ninja world's powers to submission. after sasuke's fight with deidara, pain was anxious about sasuke but madara assured him that sasuke was ok and that he was able to use extremely well his sharingan. and that his sharingan could be better than itachi's. and then he said that the 'machine is ready' or 'the time is ripe' and pain asks, so it's time to get the kyuubi? that implioers that the gedo mazo is fully operational and sasuke is ready to be sycronized with it. http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/363/17/. so sometime after or before this i guess madara would also command itachi to take sasuke in. that is why kisame supported itachi in facing off with his little brother. madara told him sasuke is ripe. if there was no personal need to go for itachi to go to his brother, he would have avaded him as he used to, but it seems sasuke's time has come. itachi has to settle the score, but he did leave some warnings and 'failsafes' so that his brother would not fall so easily into madara's traps.

I was the one who posted the question about Sauske V.S. Pain in the last chapter. I want to add one more thing that everyone seems to be forgetting, including the person I was arguing with that sparked this whole question. Yes Sauske can see chakra, but not on the Hyuga's scale. That said, Hinatata, that dude that was "proteting" her and others were present, and watching Naruto's battle. None of them noticed little "strings of chakra" flowing from the transmitters to the location of Nagato. This means Sauske would not have been able to tell where they were with just his sharingan. I'm sure if the transmitters just connected chakra from the source to the bodies Kishi would have made them painfully obvious to notice by a Hyuga, thus, abruptly ending the suspence. I'm goign to make an assumption about the transmitters. They transmit chakra, this is not as simple as linking the bodies with a "chain of chakra" so to speak (That would be the puppet master jutsu people). I think the transmitters worked for the sole purpose of placing the chakra into the bodies without leaving an opening to "see" how they are connected to the bodies and Nagato. This means Sauske would not immediately loate Nagato and deplete most (if not all) of his Chakra before even finding out Pain's secret. But, I will say that he is most likely clever enough to find it out, whereas Naruto had tons of clues beforehand...but either way Sauske would be a gonner (obviously my opinion...but based on viable fact...haha)

Let's sum something up. Naruto would've annihilated Kisame, despite he's one of huge chakra users, he's not using that chakra as Bee does. Plus, the Sage chakra is funny. I'd laugh at frog Kisame. On the other hand, Bee's in trouble right now. If he's smart, he'll get out of that freaking wave where they are now. And isn't lighntning > water in elements? Last thing, I wonder how does Kisame absorb chakra in shark mode. Eat it?

The Strongest Ninja! Jiraiya….not much to say about him, other than he’s immensely strong, but I’ll try. Jiraiya said he came close to dying only twice (once when he peaked on Tsunade, and the second time when Naruto’s Four Tailed Form attacked him), now that’s impressive, considering he’s been on 614 A-rank and 138 S-rank missions (1800+ if you include D-B rank). Jiraiya has been said to be able to improve upon any jutsu he learned. When it comes to jutsus, Jiraiya has a Toad for every situation, not to mention his Katon-Oil jutsus and his Doton. His Fuinjutsu (Sealing Techniques) is impressive as well, as he was able to create a Seal to suppress Naruto’s Kyubi chakra. As impressive as all of these are, what impresses me most about Jiraiya isn’t so obvious. All of his students grew to be Kage level or the highest rank of Jonin, two of them even becoming leaders of their respective Villages (Minato-Konoha and Nagato-Amegakure). Statistically speaking, Jiraiya is the strongest Sanin; Ninjutsu: 5, Taijutsu: 4.5, Genjutsu: 3, Intelligence: 4.5, Strength: 4.5, Speed: 4.5, Stamina: 5, Sealing: 4.5, giving him a total of 35.5. Orochimaru was a very special ninja. He was so strong that the Third Hokage thought no-one in Konoha could stop him if he invaded, so strong that he fought Naruto’s Four Tailed Form with no fear and not to mention he was a candidate for the position of Hokage at some point. He is special because unlike other characters, he very rarely used Element-based Ninjutsu, instead he opts to use Snake-based Jutsu, Fuinjutsu and Kinjutsu (Forbidden Techniques), even learning an “Immortality“ Kinjutsu. What one character would call their “Ultimate Jutsu”, Orochimaru would call it “One of my Ultimate Jutsus” (example, Sakon and Ukon summon ONE Rashomon as their Ultimate move, while Orochimaru summons THREE Rashomon as just a defensive wall). When it comes to actual stats, Orochimaru is comparable to a Kage; Ninjutsu: 5, Taijutsu: 3.5, Genjutsu: 5, Intelligence: 5, Strength: 3.5, Speed: 4.5, Stamina: 3.5, Sealing: 5, giving him a total of 35. Orochimaru lost in moments to Itachi (while he was in the Akatsuki) 7 years prior to the Akatsuki meeting in Part 1 (which seems like a plot hole, as Itachi would have only been 11 at the time, and we know he joined Akatsuki AFTER he left Konoha, which he did when he was an ANBU Captain, which means he was at least 13) and lost his arm in the process, yet Itachi didn’t want to fight Jiraiya as “both of them would die”. Here‘s something many of you probably didn‘t know, Kisame graduated Kirigakure‘s Academy at 10 years old (which means he killed his classmate, as it was before Zabuza had done the test). Kisame’s power was once judged by the fact that at 30% he was man-handling Guy, who had to use his very best jutsu to win. That battle is virtually meaningless now. From his performance in the first stage of his battle with Kirabi, we see that he just doesn’t swing Samehada wildly with brute force, he actually has swordsmanship skills. He also has demonstrated how strong he was when he single-handedly defeated Roshi (the Four Tailed Jinchuuriki) and all he said after that battle was, “I’m a bit tired”. Well, after that we are pretty much left in the dark about his abilities, so I’ll let this battle speak for him. Itachi, well do I really need to say anymore? Ah okay I will. Ever since he was young he was extraordinarily powerful, evidenced by the fact that he became an ANBU Captain at only 13 years old and mastered his Sharingan at only 8 years old. Also, the fact that he beat Orochimaru, Kakashi, and Deidara without much effort also shows his strength. Itachi is a pacifist and preferred to avoid battle, but when he can’t, he instead ends it quickly with a Genjutsu. He makes his hand signs so quickly for his Jutsus that they largely go unseen by his opponents, and he is well-versed in Taijutsu as well, evidenced by how he effortlessly beat Sasuke in Part 1 (Sasuke had gone through heavy Taijutsu training with Kakashi, yet lost to Itachi in mere moments. His stats were: Ninjutsu: 5, Taijutsu: 4.5, Genjutsu: 5, Intelligence: 5, Strength: 3.5, Speed: 5, Stamina: 2.5, Sealing: 5, giving him a total of 35.5. At the time of his death he was 21 years old. Deidara’s greatest ability was his intelligence, as he often misdirects his opponents and takes calculated risks to get his opponents into range of his bombs. He is a long-range fighter, but skilled enough to evade his opponents if they should come close to him, such as in his fights with Sasuke and Team Guy. His exploding clay was a very versatile technique, as he could make bombs as big as buildings, or bombs as small as bugs, depending on the situation. He even trained his eye to see through Genjutsu after his quick loss to Itachi. However, what impresses me most about Deidara was his age, 19 years old (16 in Part 1). His stats are; Ninjutsu: 5, Taijutsu: 3.5, Genjutsu: 3.5, Intelligence: 4.5, Strength: 3.5, Speed: 4.5, Stamina: 4, Sealing: 3.5, giving him a total of 32. Sasori was Deidara’s partner, and according to Deidara, the stronger of the two. Sasori was a puppet master of the highest caliber, as he can move the strings so quickly it appears to be a blur to most opponents (or just Sakura). He was also an ingenious inventor, as he made many of Sunagakure’s puppets, giving him the advantage over other puppeteers as he would know the tricks of his previous puppets. His mastery of puppet-based jutsu is so great that he defeated the Third Kazekage, the most powerful of all the Kazekages. Just like Deidara, Sasori was a long range fighter, and even more adept at avoiding close range battles than Deidara, evidenced by his fight with Chiyo and Sakura, where he continuously revealed new tricks to keep them at bay. He also misdirects his opponents, often times ending with them being poisoned. By modifying his own body into a puppet, Sasori discarded a puppet master’s one weakness. He could now fight at close range, which meant that he was both a long range and close range fighter. His stats are; Ninjutsu: 5, Taijutsu: 4, Genjutsu: 4, Intelligence: 5, Strength: 3, Speed: 4.5, Stamina: 5, Sealing: 4, giving him a total of 34.5. He was 35 at the time of his death. Kakuzu had decades of experience, and used that to his advantage as he can fight several high level opponents at the same time, while still being in control. He was extremely fast as often times he disappeared from sight when fighting, his physical strength was also impressive (he stopped Choji’s massive punch with one hand and punched down an iron gate). Kakuzu’s intelligence was frightening, as he was able to see through Shikamaru’s strategies, and formulated counters to them (such as when he saw through Shikamaru’s Shadow Possession Jutsu, and without being caught in it). Kakuzu’s most frightening ability was his body structure. He could stretch/separate his limbs, and heal any injury he received in battle, he could also remove any damaged organs he has and replace it with someone else’s. He could control all five elements because of this unique ability, and create beasts from his threads, making him a truly dangerous opponent. His stats are: Ninjutsu: 5, Taijutsu: 4, Genjutsu: 3, Intellect: 4.5, Strength: 4, Speed: 4, Stamina: 4.5 and Sealing: 3.5, giving him a total of 32.5. He was 91 years old when he died. Hidan was probably the hardest opponent to beat. He was the only “true” immortal in the series, and he used this to his advantage, as he could take risks many combatants wouldn’t for fear of dying. His only weakness was dismemberment, but even that could be transcended by simply sewing himself back together (or being sewed up most of the time). His main jutsu (Curse Technique: Death Controlling Possessed Blood) allowed for the quick, or in Hidan’s case, the slow death of his opponents, as what ever happens to him, happens to them. The only weakness of this jutsu is its need for Hidan to taste his opponent’s blood. He uses his Triple Bladed Scythe to help in this task, as it is meant to inflict simple wounds instead of outright killing (only someone tremendously slow would get hit by it in a straightforward attack). To make it connect with the target, Hidan uses his phenomenal agility, coupled with the scythe’s cable to get a hit. Once this is done, one can consider the fight over. Hidan’s stats are: Ninjutsu: 5, Taijutsu: 4.5, Genjutsu: 3, Intelligence: 3, Strength: 4, Speed: 3.5, Stamina: 5, Sealing: 3.5, giving him a total of 31.5. He was 22 years old when he was incapacitated from battle.
