I hate Sakura, she's trippin again. The fuck she thinks she is? Sasuke's wife? His eternal love after 20 years of deep, true emotions between the two of them? Man, I'd love to see Sasuke return to Konoha and just say "Fuck off" to her. They haven't even kissed. He doesn't even like her. She's like the ultimate obsessed fangirl.

The only thing that shocked me in this chapter was sasuke, wtf is he thinking. Did he really say he was going to kill the kages?... Is he out of his fucking mind? I always knew he wanted revenge to a certain extent, but how does killing the 5 kages justify itachi’s death? (Ignoring the fact that just attempting to kill 5 of the most powerful ninja’s in the world at one time is insane enough) If he does it what will that accomplish? His goals make no sense, he’s just being blood thirsty now ... becoming more of an idiot then even naruto.

I think that kishi messed up with the love relationships. Its sad to see all that Naruto have achieved as a ninja, and to fail in LOVE. If he continues to be blinded with this puppy-love he has for Sakura, he will be heart broken. Its like he does not really realize that Hinata had true love for him. I hope that he does not turn out like Jiraiya when it comes to love. I say we need a filler for the Hinata - Naruto love but its not in the Manga or any hint that it will happen up until PEIN visits Konoha. Sad indeed!

On a side note it would be cool to see a gaara vs sasuke rematch, i wonder what gaara would do. He knows sasuke is a close friend of naruto’s and should be willing to help him save sasuke. (This is the first time in the entire series where i believe sasuke truly needs saving.) I really hope sasuke is still the smart ass he’s always been, and waits until the opportunity reveals its self to kill danzo. Instead of rushing into the kage meeting, killing danzo, and attacking the other kages at the same time.

by the way, Sasuke has developed so much since the series started. I think I should point those: 1. At first he was a cool guy and the best in his age group. 2. Later he became arrogant and after that he became emo kid and left for Orochimaru. 3. that continued untill he killed Orochimaru and became normal somewhat. 4. then in the fight against Itachi he started to become pathetic and against KillerBee it was proved. 5. now he wants to kill the five kages altogether, so I will say that he has finally become a comedian.

Sigh, all this Sasuke and Sakura hate is really getting old. Sakura has always been emotional over Sasuke, she loves him, it's a bizarre love being that it has always been unrequited love , but in a way that makes it pure, and tragic. Bear in mind she's been through a lot more than she's ever had to deal with in the past few days. Her teacher and mentor is in a coma and her entire life view is changing rapidly. NOW, regarding Sasuke, is he absolutely insane for saying he can take on the 5 Kages? Only if he plans to do it all at once... Orochimaru took out a Kage, Sasuke took out Orochimaru.. and let's face it even though they're (The Kages) going to convene about Sasuke and Akatsuki, I doubt they'd expect a lone Ninja team to take on what are at the very least the 5 most reknown Ninjas in the world... he has the Element of surprise for now. If he keeps that I see him taking at least one Kage down before he's discovered... but above all look at Sasuke throughout the manga, he's an expert at saying one thing and doing another, remember the Itacki fight? Genjutsu after genjutsu? Plot after counter plot after counter plot. If this manga could've tought you anything about Sasuke it would be to not take what he says at face Value, he hated Naruto way back when, but even so, he jumped in front of Haku's attack without hesitation. As for Naruto needing to get over Sakura (or Kishi screwing up the relationships) remember what Jiraiya said in that discussion with Tsunade, men aren't supposed to be happy in life (referring to him and Tsunade never being together). Jiraiya understood pain and suffering are an unwanted, but unavoidable part of life well before either of his two youngest students. I think in the end though he believes Naruto will change that. Regardless of what happens at the end of the day Naruto will find peace, be it with Hinata ( I hope, I hope, I hope..) or Sakura (just as good, but I see Hinata and Sasuke dying for this to happen >.

Let's get this out of the way first. I do not think that Naruto is in love with Sakura any longer...I think that he loves her and has deep emotional ties with her, they've risked their lives for one another during countless missions. Naruto never goes back on his ninja way, or do we all forget that? He promised to bring Sauske back to the village, back to Sakura, he will not rest until he accomplishes his mission. Anyway, beyond the emotional stuff, this chapter has created some interesting questions. What will happen at the Kage meeting when Madara is 'forced' to show himself? Will it get to that point considering Madara's no nonsense approach now? What link does Madara have with the 6 paths...is he the original harbinger of pain? He mentioned that he has a moon technique and Pein indicated that his binding rock formation of Naruto was nothing compared to the Moon the Six Paths created...just some food for thought. I mentioned this quite a few posts ago...but it now seems that an ultimate battle royal between the strongest in the Shinobi world is about to take place! Orochimaru will be in attendance...remember Sai had a lead on Kabuto prior to their return to the village. My assertion is that Naruto will create a new technique, tag-team with sauske and bring down Madara. This has gotten really interesting.

all Sasuke managed to do to Gaara was stab him. Because of Gaara’s unstable mind he snapped at seeing his own blood and let the Shukaku take him over. This new Gaara is more calm and rational, he CAN defeat Sasuke. Remember that Gaara could have also defeated Deidara without having an elemental advantage, but because protected the village, he lost. Remember that Deidara’s chakra was Earth and Sasuke’s was lightning, that gives Sasuke the advantage, and Deidara still almost killed the bastard. So Gaara fought him on equal ground, while Sasuke had an advantage. Bottom line, it would be an interesting rematch, with an unpredictable outcome (yeah right, Gaara would kick Sas-gay’s emo, snake-loving ass).

Let's see here. Sakura is acting like a sob, which disappointed me. A few tears, but not like "WAAAA! No, Sasuke has gone to the Dark Side! WAAAAA!" Like give me a break! There’s no way that Sasuke will be able to sleep at night knowing that Naruto has surpassed him by beating the most powerful ninja so far. As for the statue, I think all the Akatsuki members were bonded with it, but they need a certain amount of members to extract Biju efficiently. I think it’s still there because its bonded to Zetsu, Tobi and Kisame. Remember that while extracting the 8-tails Sasuke wasn’t a part of it, so I think what Tobi meant was that he will bond Sasuke to the statue once he can be trusted, so they can have enough members to extract Biju again.

lord8467, I think they can extract bijuus right now but it will take too long. It took three day for ichibi so with the current members, I think it will take two weeks or more to extract a bijuu.

(1) in this chapter, we see one (or two) more cool jutsu madara is capable of -- knowing exactly the location of any person and just coming out from empty space in front of the person. and it's amazing to point out that he begins appearing from the hole of the mask. so must be the jutsu of his sharingan eye. some sort of an "apparition" jutsu or reverse side of the type of time-space jutsu we've seen so far whenever he is physically attacked [or in harry potter language, "to apparate," (in contrast to, "disapparate" (reverse apparition)]. and (as if kishi is justifying himself) madara/tobi says, "don't underestimate me. it's within my powers." karin exclaimed unto herself, "his chakra just came out of nowhere." so by all these statements the jutsu is authentic and 'patented' to madara. this recent development gives us further knowledge of just how 'invincible' madara is (i.e., powerful, that no one can defeat him -- ehem, the shodai pawnage notwithstanding.) (2) we find it really amusing that madara was so disappointed that nagato betrayed him by using the resurrection technique on someone else instead of him. but didn't itachi say madara is an "invincible immortal"? of course, itachi qualified his statement that madara has not achieved true immortality. thus, itachi must be (a) lying, (b) mistaken/limited in his knowledge of madara but gives an honest estimation of madara from his own experience, or (c) using a hyperbole, in order to emphatically forward a very stern warning about putting one's (in this case: sasuke's) trust on madara. [and we see that at least this part sasuke gets itachi's point. but sasuke needed 'insider info' in order to take on madara 'i wanted to test something'), must like what he did to kill orochimaru.] anyway, madara's need for nagato's resurrection jutsu plainly tells us that madara is not truly immortal. he can die; and/or he plans to die in order to be revived later when everybody thinks (again) that he is already dead, which makes me think again that his death in the hands of the shodai was either orchestrated (he just played dead), or he really did die and someone saved/resurrected/revived him. just when we are given how utterly powerful and extremely cunning this madara guy is... we get it "straight from the horse's mouth," his self-knowledge suggests that there is still a way to kill and defeat him. this fact that he is not an invincible immortal is also confirmed by the fact that he fears that he will be discovered, and killed, before he could achieve his evil plans, that is why, he wants to stay in the shadows, hiding under a mask/different persona, as he works towards his goals. (3) we also see how madara is so pissed off not only with nagato's betrayal that he called him his "minion" (aside from calling him a "pawn" a few chapters back.lol.) but also at his admission that naruto has destroyed his ('fail-proof'?) plan. and this forces him to throw caution to the wind, and use his back-up plan which he calls, "moon's eye." moreover, he acknowledges also that he needs sasuke as his new pawn. now madara lacks at least three more aces to be able to win the game -- the hachibi, naruto/kyuubi, and sasuke (to sync with gedo mazo). [all three very important characters in the plot. and we have a new ally from the thunder cats, i mean, the thunder nins. so the chance that killer bee will be working with naruto and teach him how to tame the beast within --which most of us want to happen-- is really becoming such a hot prospect]. in other words, madara is still way too far from achieving his goals, and possessing "the true power of the sharigan."

i found the exact chapter where madara said unto himself the great possibility of his own dying. @http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/397/10/, he says, "fortunately, i managed to keep a few secrets from (itachi); if i hadn't, (then) i'd be dead by now."

Madara might die when he uses all the bijuus, as only in that case, it would be obvious for Pain to ressurect him, as he can only revive people that he killed/had been close when died/is indirectly connected to person's death. As well he might be already dead xD

interesting. that must probably be the case... madara dies in the process of putting together the power of the bijuus and using all of them for making a weapon of mass destruction or uber destructive jutsu... but how would it be nagato's doing when madara dies. is nagato directly responsible for the jutsu or the process that they are supposed to do with the bijuus? if that's the case, then nagato dying is really a big blow to madara's plans; and that just makes it too important for him to replace pain with sasuke. we'll also see how madara would convince sasuke to be his new pawn will give us insight into how madara was able to convince pain to be his slave/minion. be that as it may, it appears that gedo mazo has to wait... unless the 'moon's eye plan' gonna work to make things faster... we can expect that we'll get to know the mystery man behind the mask much better, as he is now forced to be less cautious and more daring... all thanks to the unexpected death of pain, and the failure of sasuke to bring the hachibi.

there is a lot of possible interesting scenarios in the coming meeting of the kages but my favorite would be the meeting between sasuke an gaara i hope they get a rematch, by the way, sasuke still dont know that the mizukage is tobi/madara right? so that means that when sasuke attacks danzo ,sasuke has a back up that he doesnt know about and the other kages dont know that the enemy is with the meeting. like i said so many promising scenarios on that chapter soon and i still hope that kishi will not disapoint.

Many have came to the same conclusion about Madara and him being immortal. Remember that ninjas of the Rain thought that PEIN was immortal and we thought the same thing until we knew his secret. This is a repeat of what PEIN said about Jiraiya. So if Itachi lived long enough, he would have learned about Madara's secret. So here is my "what if" what if Itachi did learn Madara's secret and give it to Naruto. The thought process may go like this: Sasuke becomes a pawn of Madara. For Naruto to save Sasuke, he has to kill Madara. Remove the puppet master to save the puppet.

I have a weird feeling that madara is about to frame sasuke for murder. Sasuke will go to the kage meeting with the intent to kill danzo, in all the confusion tobi=mizukage will kill another kage (not danzo) or even himself the mizukage and make it look like a sharingan user killed the victim. Sasuke being the only known living uchiha will be blamed for the crime, as well as several eye witnesses to attest to sasuke leaving the scene of the crime. (im not quite sure how this is suppose to fit into madara’s plans, but it seems like he’s trying to get sasuke to be universally hated by all... maybe he’s trying to force sasuke into a corner where he’ll need the extra power of itachi’s eyes EMS to stay alive)

@70 ...... fuck, i have to agree with you about kisame being a missing nin, and turning his back on the village and betraying the mizukage. At the same time kisame respecting tobi the leader of akatsuki who is also the same mizukage he disrespected at the time seems like a contradiction. (And we are all assuming tobi was the mizukage at the time kisame left the village) As all good kages do, tobi would have been force to send tracking ninjas out to kill kisame. But when tobi revealed his true identity as the mizukage, kisame seem more or less happy to see that his current leader that he left his village for, happens to be his old leader that he betrayed who has been hunting him since. (we assume) But then again what would any of us do in kisame’s predicament? It’s not like he can leave akatsuki, the penalty for leaving is death. Tobi=mizukage must know a great deal of kisame’s abilities, skills and weaknesses. Really what choice does he have but to obey tobi, at least he knows he doesn’t have to worry about the mizukage trying to kill him anymore.

To the guy who says Sasuke can eliminate Danzou and Gaara. How can you make that assumption? Just because Gaara lost the Ichibi doesn't render him completely useless. From the beginning of Naruto up until the end o the Chuunin exams gaara was completely reliant on the one tailed beast. When Naruto and him had their little chat he reliazed the error of his ways. The next time we saw him he displayed a new tachnique. I can't name it right now but I'm sure most of you know what i'm talking about.

So can you look me in the eye and honestly tell me Gaara sat on his ass for 2 and a half years doing nothing. In case you throw in the "If that's true then why didn't Gaara beat Deidara?" card then that can be explained. Gaar was trying to protect his village not demolish it so he couldn't go all out. I'm pretty sure he's gonna show Sasuke why he's the Kazekage. As for Danzou, we don't know much of anything about him so it's just crazy to think he'd be beaten by Sasuke. Sasuke is just a hot headed punk who thinks he can beat the world. I for one think Madara is luring him into certain death to steer him more towards the option of transplanting Itachi's eyes in him. Madara is luring sasuke to his side, it is quite obvious. Sasuke left akatsuki but madara doesnt want him to. He told sasuke the meeting of the kages so he can go and get his ass handed to him. That way sasuke will lose and realize he needs madaras help in doing so. i think ive got it madara is just a piece of eye, that is how he just teleports himself anywhere, he uses the same technique as kakashi teleporting small objects to another dimension except that madara can control where the piece go

You might have a point there Venger in comment 86. it is possible that in claiming the eye of his brother, the sharingan itself now becomes the essence of the individual or a completed entity as expressed by itachi's explanation to sasuke just before their battle. it probably gives each user a particular perfection to a peculiar sharingan ability (thats why i presume no MS versions have been similar.) madara may actually not have the ability to suppress the amaterasu as sasuke can.

To comment number 88, then how did madara get ride of the ametarasu that sasuke cast on him from the fail safe? he could have used his space time but that pretty much renders the ametarasu useless on madara as far as we know. In the last chapter sasuke said he wanted to try something, now we arent sure if it was against the kages or that he has a theory of how madara is not a physical body consisting of matter and has found a way to actually hurt him. Now is it that madara goes to a different dimension in a split of a second so fast that we cant tell he goes and comes back? I want to know more about madara and his life. I can care less about anyone else at the moment.
