what mandara is telling makes no sense as he said that he helped itachi that night to kill all the uchia. so why is he making such a drama about his role to protect his clan? the monent they "betrayed" him i guess he decided to destroy the whole leaf , the senju and the uchia. he tried it alone as he told sasuke, and he lost. everybody thought he was dead but instead he was getting stronger to not fail again. he summoned the ninetails on the one hand to get rid of the 4th, as he would not have been able to beat him and the whole leaf, and on the other hand to make the leafs leaders kill all the uchia as they would have been able to reveal that he is still alive and trying to destroy the leaf. now he is recruiting a strong party, with ninjas like pein. as pein aims for a world of anarchy he wants to destroy the villages too and konoha as its considered to be the strongest village, should be the first one. he also wanted itachi to help him. but even all the hate itachi had for the leaf as they forced him to kill his whole clan was not enough to make him go this far. so mandara made itachi loose vs sasuke and trys now to make sasuke join his party as he reveals that the leaf killed his clan.

@98 thorhunter.interesting theory. i was thinking madara 'faked' his own death as he realized he could not win against shodai. knowing he could use his 'death' to his advantage,too. fighting shodai was a win-win situation for madara.if he wins against shodai then he gets to be hokage, the greatest shinobi in konoha and the shinobi world. if he loses, he will use that to his advantage,too. he hid in the shadows, founded the akatsuki, and summoned the kyuubi to konoha without blowing his cover. the kyuubis 2nd appearance in konoha sure put suspicion to the uchihas who were the only ones known to be able to summon and control the demon beast. madara caused division within konoha and ill-will against his beloved clan that betrayed him.

Naruto is a senju. This was confirmed by kakashi when he said that it resembles their FATE. The key from the frog would unleash the true powers of Naruto or maybe the code has something to with him being a senju. So far, it was only naruo that was able to control the "binju" to a ceratin level. ( in his case up to 3 tails). Meaning, he will soneday when the right time comes. This is a characteristic of a senju.

Does anyone else think that narutos second elemental chakra is going to be water due to the fact that his mother was from the whirlpool country. I mean he has wind because his father did and well wouldnt he get water from his mothers side. And another factor, so when naruto found out that he had wind chakra i forget but kakashi or yamato said its weak against fire because it makes the flames bigger but his wind is good against sasukes lightning jutsu. So if we know that sasuke has fire and lightning wouldnt it be logical that naruto might get water to tackle sasukes fire jutsu?

Next chapter will explain itachis life, as its still a big ? and hard to understand why he did what he did, why he didnt kill sasuke, why he helps mandara and why he also wants to build up an worldorder merly similar to the one pein is dreaming of. I think as the leaders of konoha revealed to him that the uchia where a danger for the leaf, he got in that fucking conflict between killing his family or passive killing the leaf. i dont know if he made that decision on his own or if he was convinced (mandara will tell sasuke that he was convinced or even brainwashed to make sasuke follow him against the leaf). offcourse he had to leave the village after that dark deed. this part has been planned by the leaders of konoha. itachi must have hated his situation. and he blamed not the leaders of konoha for it neither the uchia. he blamed the whole political system i guess, which is the reason for him joining akatsuki, as their aim is to build up a new order where desastrous destinys as his own wont be created. but as i posted befor i think that in the detail of their plan he couldnt follow mandara destroying the leaf directly and instead tryed to stay by the old strategy using heir big weapon to blackmail the hidden villages and the country (wich is the reason for mandara hurting him to make him loose to sasuke) his worst lifestory is the reason for making sasuke hate him so much. it was to protect sasuke from becoming like himself.

When Madara say that story to sasuke....it seem that history come back now such as Sasuke (Madara) & Naruto (Hashirama)....Remember that when Jiraya said that someday Naruto can contol kyubi with his chakura.. Naruto has chakura wind which mean he can manupulated that chakura like his sword....if Sasuke has Kusanagi....Naruto will be has sword of wind in his self to protect him and Kyubi from Madara and Sasuke

Madara is lying... especially when he said that he didn't summon kyuubi to destroy the leaf village. You guys remember what kyuubi said to sasuke "Your eyes is like that of Uchiha Madara". Which means that kyuubi met uchiha madara before so he must be lying.. That's my opinion.

MADARA FAKED HIS OWN DEATH? there are essentially only three points to support the theory that madara 'staged' or faked his death. (1) that madara sure benefited in the belief that he was dead; his "death" served his purposes up to the present. (2) itachi said madara is an immortal, so he could not die. he also said madara is invincible, i.e., someone who is so powerful to be beaten, harmed, or destroyed (3) tobi/madara has demonstrated in his fights that indeed he could not be harmed. NOW HOW THE HELL DID HE LOSE TO SHODAI??? HOW IS HE ALIVE TODAY? (1) perhaps at that time he was not yet that "invincible" he has not learned the time-space jutsu when he fought the legendary shodai. (2) he really got beaten up to the pulp but he only looked like he died; he went to plan B, when he realized he could not beat hashirama. plan B: play possum. or take advantage of his "death." (3) he really got beaten up like hell and almost died; but he miraculously survived or someone saved him from there. (4) he really got his ass kicked all over the place and really died; but someone revived him and saved him. we really don't know yet how he survived; so far the only thing we were told was that he was an invincible immortal, and he has demonstrated already in those fights that he cannot be harmed; whatever happened-- he remains alive and well and so are his eyes--

@127 QFT race_me. i also believe that it was madara who summoned the kyuubi 16 years ago. jiraiya and itachi thinks this was so.

My Opinions are Madara is immortal, invincible and all. He couldnt live long enough and perish by amaterasu if he doesnt immortal Like he said before "my stuborn refusal to death", I also believe the one who summoned kyuubi was him.

I think hes not faking his death, maybe its related to his EMS technique like Itachi, he died but he planted his MS into Sasuke (I mean maybe his body failed him but his most essential part is still working through a living body) some kind of jutsu that only Madara know.

@140 at first madara wanted to protect the clan, and of course, his own fame; but when his clan disowned him, he wanted to kill em all; and so he did. @141 not all senjus got hashirama's ability and could control the bijuus, so even if naruto is a descendant of the senju it is not certain that he could control bijuus; but it seems possible that he can control the kyuubi's chakra inside of him, that is why jiraiaya and kakashi and yamato were training him, perhaps so that naruto could master that jutsu that his father minato wanted him to master... kakashi himself said, naruto could be the strongest shinobi if he could do that.

my guess is that itachi lied to sasuke on madaras involvement so that sasuke would not talk to madara, i think that danzous root team helped him. they said once that the great ninjas (madara and hashirama) used bijuu like pets. and i don't think madara would lie to sasuke, i see him more like a victim not a suspect. oh, and i hate the way the senjuu treated uchiha. how dare they do that

no one can kill one whole clan as "easy" as that, not even the anbu can do that. and the root is just a faction, they would not be as many and as skilled as konoha's police force and the rest of the uchihas. as i always said, why would konoha kill all the uchihas, including the innocent women and children?

hey at melos 133. i think mandara is pretty invinceble by ordinary attacks as well as by most of the other cause of his time-spacejutzu . . . wich still is a jutzu and as such it needs chackra . . . and even mandara can run out of chackra in a fight against for example naruto (when he finally manages to control the kyubi as u all explained so very well)

Madara even states this is where Itachi's personal hell begins. Who knows what this means, obviously Itachi had to deal with some conflicting thoughts in his head. Ever think Itachi betrayed Madara, and wanted to what Konoha told him to do. Sounds like Itachi had a serious delimna. WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK PEOPLE!!
