Well since i'm here i'd like to share my views on a couple of things. The first being sasuke's ms. I've been hearing a lot of talk about this, and a few comments where "does sasuke really have ms","no it was just a one time thing", well here's what i think, i believe if itachi was really involved in a plot to protect his brother and the whole shinobi world, he would'nt give him the only means capable of defending himself against the ultimate evil (that being uchiha madara) for a one time use. Also notice in the fight, itachi uses all the aspects of the ms, including soosanoo, one which sasuke has never seen before, if his true purpose wasn't to kill sasuke, but protect him, then why would he show him such a thing, obviously so he knows all the capabilities of ms when the time comes again for him to truly use it. If you still find it hard to believe given sasuke's current state, and because, ms is too much off a thing to give a character who's name isnt even in the title, then what was the whole point of the fight between sasuke and itachi, why did they even fight at all, so he could die to give sasuke ms for a one time useage, if you think you have a better answer feel free to tell me. Secondly i want to talk about the future of naruto, it doesnt look so bright, it already seems as though sasuke and his team heibi will be the 4 members to replace sasori, kisame, kakazu and deidara, not too mention naruto has yet to discover his beloved pervy sage has expired. All these revelations, and the revealing of a new threat with still some loose ends to be tied up (kabutomaru), will this be too much story to fit into one series, or will this series end with sasuke's reception into the akatsuki, leading to another timeskip..no one really knows, but i know this much, i cant wait to see whats next XD

oh yeah nice observation there shadow; this makes sense only if it is like a flash-back. one fault there is the statement made by madara: I've heard much about you from the warriors your clan mercilessly slaughtered. uhmm dead people speak? so madara has the power to summon the sould of dead people and interrogate them, hmm, a necromancy jutsu???

awesome post shadow, i like your analysis esp on point no.1, i definitely agree, i think along the same lines, and maintained that view that itachi did not intend to kill sasuke but give him his MS. indeed it would be such a waste if itachi would die/end his life (probable cause of death: overuse of MS, depletion of chakra to zero) for that one-time event of an amaterasu. the 2nd point, indeed the ominously threatening darkness looms to cover the remaining hope of our protagonists. we have been warned to watch for more deaths and heartaches in the coming chapters but also a promise of development and growth for the main characters because of these trials/tribulations.

more spoilers pls... hehe. its nice tho, even if these spoilers aint real, just the thought people really think bout stuff like these, and create their own versions, which are also good sumhow.

Confirmed spoiler (and it's pretty crazy): Senju clan and Uchiha clan were rivals. Madara got MS from his brother because his brother offered. Madara and Shodai agree to a ceasefire. Senju clan made Uchiha clan price to control them. and... Madara and Shodai fought for the position of Hokage. Madara did it for the sake of the clan, but even Uchiha members didn't support him. Madara left the village, revenge on village and got defeated by Senju Hashirama. Every one thought Madara was dead at that time. Uchiha became like a dog of Senju clan. And finally wiped out by the incident of nine-tail. Danzou and the two elders thought Uchihas did it. But actually Uchihas didn't do it. Uchihas under scrutiny　by　ANBU　got isolated. Uchihas planed to take over village to change this situation. Itachi stopped this plan. Itachi's hell started from this time.

wow this chapter is pretty sad. i feel really sorry for itachi, since he had to kill his loved ones for the sake of the clan. in a way it sort of makes me hate senju and i think this is exactly what madara is trying to do to sasuke. make his ass hate konoha so he can help madara take over it.

wow thanks acod. that made a lot of sense. Madara is telling the truth about the history of the village, but he might have lied about the Kyuubi being a natural occurence. we know that they Kyuubi knew him and hates him. So there must have been a great incident that involved the two together. i surmise that would be the Kyuubi attack on Konoha. And then Itachi's testimony that Madara helped him wipe out the clan. Madara said it is all Itachi's doing. If Madara is an avenger, he must side with the Uchiha mutineers; but why did he help Itachi. Surely there is a great discrepancy here, either Itachi or Madara was lying. But Itachi has an edge to credibility since he offered his life and his MS to Sasuke.

In stead of Orochimaru, the villain obsessed with power and just wanting to destroy konoha for them not accepting him, we have a villain where the line of right and wrong are less clear, and that madara could be good in some respects. Too bad he'll end up showing his true colors right before the big fight, and dies. Fun.

well im back again, and the new chapter399 is just as i thought it would be..... looks like my premonition is coming to pass. Sasuke is going to join the evil side. But they dont seem to be that evil anymore. Sasuke will follow in Madara's foot steps and naruto will follow in the 1st's and history will repeat itself.

Yeah, its a difference in opinions....what are ya gonna do. Either way, Itachi will be shown in a heroic light in Naruto, so get used to it. And either jiraiya said Madara summoned it because he didnt know about Itachi's secret mission, OR Madara is lying to sasuke to try and gain sympathy. Either one is just as acceptable. I believe the latter, personally.

been a while to say the least but i liked this chapter alot - - - - looks like naruto finally has a freakin clan he looks senju all the way! not to mention the one blond guy standing at the front who looks dead like him some relative of jiraiya or the fourth ( pure speculation ) i must say we really need to find out what made the senju clan that special eg large amounts of chakra *winks* or great ninjutsu. sasuke is being a gaylord he has no reason to be there with madara if he doesnt get up in the next chapter and say right im healed now back of to get myself a nice team of genin....
