@ 608 yah susano'o is just like the death god that the 4th and the 3rd summoned in order to seal the souls of the 1st and the 2nd and part of the soul of oro (the hands)... and the kyuubi (which is already just a spirit).

In order to get rid of Madara and Pain seal them inside a dead body and through it in the ocean. The only person capable of that is Naruto imo. He is the one with the biggst chakra potential. It is big now, but it´ll get a lot bigger when they merge.

@616 i am nt saying that the susano'o and the death god are the same or alike in appearance; they are alike in the sense that they are both a summoning into this world and that both have the abilities to seal souls/things. the difference is that the susano'o seals what its sword touches inside a jar; while the death god seals souls into a different body, which could be anyone incl. the summoner. that is what the third did. through the death god, he sealed the 1st and 2nd within his bunshin; and the (hands of oro) within his original body; after the sealing ritual, the deathgod seals the summoner within itself. so in effect, the 1st-2nd-3rd... and 4th hokages are now inside the death god. the 4th used the death god's sealing powers to capture the kyuubi and seal it inside naruto, his beloved child. and then as a price the death god took his soul and sealed him within itself.

But what should oro do with souls then ? I still don´t get it. I know it seals souls and stuff. But oro needed immortality and not souls. Like the one he used before Sasuke took over. He took the body of a person and "through out the souls". If he searched for it his hole life then there must be something about it that makes it really special. Not just the sealing part we have seen.

@623 so far both susano'o and the death god summons do not allow sealing bijuus in the summoner's body for him/her to be able to use it esp the 2nd one. the summoner dies as a consequence of summoning the death god and using its powers to seal someone/thing into someone. we don't know how the other jinchuuriki's were made and what kind of sealing technique they used. we only know how naruto became a jichuuriki, by using the death god's powers. the akatsuki has a different way of extracting and sealing bijuus. we just don't know how it is named or how it works exactly... and how they will be able to use the bijuus that they extracted and sealed inside that "thing" with many eyes.

It wasn´t something that would happen right away Iren :) I just said that he would be the best suited for that since he can gain so muct chakra/power

@628 oro's immortality jutsu merely allowed him to transfer his soul into different bodies and overpowering/subduing the original soul of the body's owner. so u see kimimaro was still alive after oro has left his body. the problem was when he got into sasuke's body he was not able to overpower sasuke's soul; so sasuke overtook him and used oro's soul and its powers instead.

@628,648 perhaps only bec the sword of totsuka is the ultimate counter for the sword of kusanagi? as for what other things the sword could do aside from sealing, we still don't know. but indeed it is possible that it has other uses and esp in killing (as it is said to be a weapon for attack).

I don´t think so either. In the anime they say that he couldn´t use his body because it was sick. Actually he wasn´t even supposed to be able to move. He moved his body with his will or something like that.

Remember when he fought against the 3rd he was in a body that looked like a little girl, and as ovo wrote he transferred himself to the guy that won in the dungeons. Also he can only use the jutsu after 3 years or so.

i think they really should put some thought into changing the name of this manga from naruto to sasuke becos lets really look at it!!! who has naruto beating that is of any real importants. Sasuke on the other hand is taken out like 4 important bad guys while naruto is currently fighting with some of konoha ninjas to take out one important bad guy!!! what a loser :P

sasuke was gone for like a hundred episodes,so thats why is not called sasuke.the anmie is not about whos the strongest,its about who makes the greatest impact.besides in the end naruto will be the strongest of the two.

And it really is about Naruto. This is all just character development that affects the person that affects naruto the most. people that say it should be called sasuke have no concept of seeing any sort of a big picture.

well there is good evidence that what he had to say to naruto was already said. on top of that i dont think it was anything that significant because he was basically trying to confirm naruto and sasuke's friendship. if sasuke was to get MS he'd have to kill naruto. so in short, itachi was just trying to make sure his goal was reachable so nothing important was PROBABLY said.
