well i just watched the episode and i noticed something i haven't noticed reading the manga, the kuuybi says to sasuke, 'dont kill naruto....you'll live.... to regret it' so i was curious what exactly he could me witht his, either he (the kuuybi) will be set ree after narutos death and he knows, that sasuke still isnt strong enough to control his chakra or does he know, that when narutos is close to death he can take control over him and this time with more than only 4 tails? so what do u think/know?

OH my, best episode of all times, maybe the other fellas have become stronger as well but the improvement of sasuke is such powerful, i dont know who should stop him, great episode. i didnt like sasuke very much till this episode, now he's my favorite... @ 118 kami sharp i was thinking about that myself. i think killme666 has a good point there. if sasuke kills naruto he'll have the MS, but he will not be able to handle the fury of the 9-tails when he is set free from naruto (as the demon fox is spirit and is therefore, immortal; the mortal body of naruto would not be there to restrain him) as Sasuke has not yet learned to control him like Madara once did. The kyuubi will refuse to be controlled by MS' genjutsu again (like Manda was tricked by Sasuke vs. Gaara's fight). I see fear also in the Kyuubi, s/he knows how sinister and evil the power of the accursed sharingan is; and this time s/he will try to fight against it.

@those discussing the Kyuubi's last comment to Sasuke. What i believe the Kyuubi meant is that he's starting to grudgingly accept that he and Naruto are bound to the same fate. So, if Sasuke tries to kill Naruto, the Kyuubi won't hold back, and will most likely release it's power to Naruto... this is different from previous incidents with the Kyuubi actually taking over Naruto due to Naruto losing control of his Rage. Another theory i have is with Minato's seal, is that it was intended to contain the Kyuubi, but it serves a higher purpose as well. I think that when Minato sealed the Kyuubi, he found out about Madara, and permanently sealed the part of the Kyuubi that Madara was able to exploit to control it, in exchange for it protecting Naruto, since Minato and Kushina wouldn't be around to protect him anymore...

Damn, again 1 week to wait. Why can't they release one episode per day? How hard is it to draw a manga chapter??? X(

@ 140 yeah good point, it is indeed possible that naruto may have affected the kyuubi also just as he has transformed gaara, haku, zabuza, sasuke, sai, etc. the kyuubi has formed a bond with naruto already being sealed within him all these past 15-16 yrs

do you think they could have put in anymore flashbacks and long thinking pauses in this one? they only had to make about 1/2 of the episode this way. @140 also with the kyubi, if naruto ever dies, the kyubii may be released and be free to roam again, and if he hates the uchiha clan...... or if naruto dies, so will the kyubi, so he'll do what ever it takes to keep naruto alive

So, unlike the manga, there's more info provided here. Kyuubi actually said that Sasuke can supress his power, thus Sasuke can actually have more power than the Kyuubi. Say what?! If this is the case, Sasuke already can win a battle against Naruto too easily now. It makes me wonder in the manga if the two ever fight, it would not be a fair one. Also, it's confusing regarding Kyuubi saying to Sasuke to not kill Naruto. Does this mean that the Kyuubi fears death or is warning Sasuke that if Naruto dies, he will be free to ramage once more? I really can't see Kyuubi be concern here for Naruto's well being, for he doesn't care for Naruto at all. I say Kyuubi really is giving a warning to not kill Naruto if Sasuke truly do not want the Kyuubi to come out at full power. As for this special's theme of 'bonds', like this is why I always can't understand why Naruto and Sakura keep going far for this guy who has severed his bond with them and will hesistate to kill them. I really can't understand the Japanese concept of this mess-up view of 'bonds' at all. (roll eyes)

well, you also have to take into account events in Sasuke's life. His family's massacre, his being branded with the Curse seal, his failure to defeat Gaara, His complete defeat by Itachi in the Return of Itachi arc, and his apparent 'weakness' and inability to kill Naruto at the Valley of the End, not to mention his time spent with Orochimaru. All of these events have contributed to his worldview that he can only depend on himself, and that his goal is to kill Itachi and Madara for killing the Uchiha clan. Now, the real question is, what will he do now that Itachi has apparently died? Without his brother to stand as his obstacle, he doesn't have a goal anymore... so, what or where will he go now? He's standing at a crossroads right now, and depending on his choice, he can completely alter the course of the world... personally, i'd like him to realize that he and Naruto both have a common enemy in Akatsuki, and tag team to eliminate them... and by the end of it, each will respect the other enough to begin rebuilding their bond... or they'll just fight to the death... either way would be a cool ending... Naruto and Sasuke vs Pain... followed by Naruto vs. Sasuke? that's be freaking awesome...

That episode with that rock, is just a filler. And if you see on Shippuuden episodes from 1-51, you can see that Sakura has feelings for Naruto. And Naruto don't know that Hinata has feelings for him, and Naruto likes Sakura. Btw. Naruto Shippuuden The Moive come out on DVD April 23, sin in a few you can download it from this site.
