@ 616, heya irengninja!!!! i agree it seems really doubtful. i was just wondering how madara could overpower pein. since the rin'negan was claimed to be the most powerful of all the eye jutsus and since nagato the original/real rinnegan was not revealed (yet). I thought that the 6-bodies of pain is somehow remotely controlled by either Madara or Nagato.

yeah possible, since we have not seen any of the 6 bodies performing genjutsu. however, when J-man and the frog couple did the Frog Song, only 3 of the bodies were there. it is possible that any of the three can also do genjutsu. the rin'negan could not be claimed to be the greatest eye-jutsu and origin of all eye-jutsus; and the the first rin'negan user the most powerful founder of the shinobi world and originator of all ninjutsus if genjutsu was not part of its repertoire.

@ 630 yes itachi is indeed pitiful if he indeed was an ANBU Root secret agent. but i think it is more plausible that he was indeed trying to surpass the evil curse of the Sharingan by immersing himself to its evil (the murder, deception, the clan massacre, by being the puppet of Madara and a slave to his wishes) in 386p14, itachi says, "once i kill you i will be freed from our wretched clan's destiny."

@ 631 yeah acod i remember konan and nagato were good natured, only yahiko was inclined to violence and war. and pein indeed regarded j-man as sensei. so the real pein must either be nagato (since he is the original rin'negan user) or yahiko (since his beliefs correspond with pein's; only that he now have the rin'negan along with 5 others.)

i like what acod said, it is possible that madara has captured the kids and forced his will on them. madara forced nagato to give/share his rin'negan so that yahiko will continue to "live" as one of the bodies of pain (since the real yahiko may really have died already, like the other bodies of pein, but was made alive only by a certain jutsu under the rin'negan or by madara's powers.

i @ 635/6 i will post my theory on whether madara is in his original body in a while. it will be a long ass post so bear with me. :P

This clearly makes the Tobito (that Tobi=Obito) theory essentially irrelevant and grossly out-of-place now, if not debunked altogether.

@ 641 i agree. though pein himself said that yahiko is long dead and forgotten. he is now pein (a collective entity composed of 6 bodies). it may be possible that he is still the real yahiko but with the rin'negan and its powers he has redefined himself into a god. it is probable that nagato is dead or hostaged; and his powers were given to yahiko through the eye-transplant technique of madara.

@ 657 uh i think itachi clearly said that madara is alive and well, that means, undamaged and his power (his eye) never waned. the pins in his armor may just be that, part of his armor but not his body; we have seen that his body cannot be harmed bec of his phase-shifting technique so the pins to hold his body seems unnecessary. his mask holds the mystery of his identity and his real powers. but since itachi also said that MS use wears out the eyes, it is reasonable that Madara would try to reserve or protect one of his eyes... some others said that the swirl in the mask makes his opponents look into his Sharingan eye and cause them to be trapped easily in the Sharingan's gengutsu. whether any of these possibilities is true or not, when the mask is removed, we shall see the "true" power of the Sharingan, the entirely new eye-technique that Itachi was talking about by virtue of the transplant of the eyes of madara's younder bro

The MS guzzles too much fuel, as we have seen in Itachi's case; and the Kyuubi has unlimited chakra and regenerative powers. this makes madara an invincible immortal. come to think of it -- there is no point being so powerful and not at the same time immortal, and there is no point being immortal if you are weak and old.

i just remember the kyuubi warning sasuke not to kill naruto or he will regret it. what do you the kyuubi means by that??? when the jinchuuriki dies what happens to the bijuu? does it die,too? or does it get released? we already know that when the bijuu is extracted the jinchuuriki dies. just what level of relationship does a jinchuuriki and its kyuubi have? how does this differ with the relationship the kyuubi and madara has? do you think the kyuubi is as fond of madara than it is of naruto?

since the kyuubi called madara's sharingan as sinister/evil, that means the level of their relationship is of domination and control, not really like a pet that is loved and nourished by affection and care, but a pet that is more like a submissive slave. therefore, the kyuubi is not fond of madara.
