I figure Kishi is gonna give Naruto a chance to do the things Jiraiya never got to do. Save his mentor, save his friend and save his student. I guess we could call Kakashi his mentor, even though Iruka and Jiraiya might qualify. Sauske is obviously the firend and perhaps konohomaru will be hi student? Does anyone else think another time skip is going to occur? Naruto will head off to toadsville or wherever to get trained and come back in another couple of years? So, I dunno I don't see Kakashi dying. I DO see Tsunade dying in the very near future though, as the other 2 sennein have been taken out of the picture one way or another. Kakashi will probably get stuck being Hokage. Or, I could be totally wrong and that's ok with me too /shrug

@213 What can ya do? It's a story written to sell to young boys. It's certainly better than most of the tripe directed at the same age group in the U.S.. I think the premise is that they had a large number of very talented Ninja emerge in one generation. Let's see, of the rookies at least 3 have a kekkei genkai (Hinata, Neji, Sauske) and one is a jinchuriiki (Naruto). Lee is a genuis at Taijutsu and has mastered opening 5 out of 8 limit gates (pre time skip, who knows now). Ino Choji and Shikamaru, Kiba and Shino all of them come from very specialized clans at the least (not sure if any of their powers are bloodline traits), and seem to be the pick and pride of their clans. Sakura is worthy of being trained by Tsunade, who compares her talent to Shizune her other pupil. Kakashi has noted she might have a talent for Genjutsu as well. They are all jounin or Chuunin except for Naruto. I don't think every kid in the Naruto universe is elite but all these folks seem to be. Remember Itachi was even more talented at a younger age. Kakashi was running around killing grown men at a young age too. It's impossible to rationalize really. They are all young because this story is meant to be sold to young people and I guess they think young people want to read about young people.

I am way outside the "target audience" but I love this manga and the anime, as well as many other anime, cartoons, comics, manga, books, and games. I will grow older but I'll never grow up. I am not dissing the show or saying it's only for a certain age group. I am just saying when they sell it they expect most of their purchasers to be of a certain age. In Japan they have different levels of tolerance for different things than we do in the U.S. for example (Not sure where everyone is from, I think some of the folks here are British from the handles). I like the way you think about it though for sure. Take it easy.

Oh, and about Comment #230 Irengninja I don't think Naruto wants to bring the Kyuubi anywhere near to Madara. Remember, Madara can control the Kyuubi with his Sharingan. Even Sausuke was able to exercise some control over it the last time he and Naruto met (at Orochimaru's hideout, that part where Sausuke enters Naruto's encounter with the Kyuubi.) I am sure that will come into play soon and it aint gonna be pretty. Chances are Naruto will kill at least one friend while being controlled by Madara, mark my words.

After what i´ve seen in the manga, Tobi is Madara. Still hard to believe but it makes sense anyway. I don´t think he can control the kyuubi inside Naruto, maybe if Naruto use the nine tail´s power he can control it. As I see it, yamato needs to make sure to keep it inside Naruto. I think they can see it but not control it. It wouldn´t make any sense to me.

As Itachi said he might not be as good as he were before. Madara that is. Not that he ain´t strong but not as strong as he used to be. If Naruto kill one of his teammates how is it possible for him to be Hokage then. That´s still one of his goals. I´d really like to see the fight with Madara vs Konoha shinobi.

Actually... Naruto can still use up to 3 tails. madara can control Kyuubi, not Kyuubi's chakra, meaning, while Naruto has the upper hand over Kyuubi and is conscious he's safe from Madara. But after he losses himself... Not quite. That's why he'll need to learn how to control it with more than 3 tails... Yes, I think that 5 tails release will occur soon

i think naruto needs to lose the kyuubi, and use his own power. with the kyuubi all his fights are predicable.kyuubi comes out even if its not 4 tails or more,the shadow clones (like 1000 or so)and finally the resengan to close out the deal.

one thing i don't get is if madra and his brother had ms and then madra took his brothers eyes to get his vision back, well if they both had ms then wouldn't they both be going blind? if so then why would switching eyes cause them to get their vision again? i say saske let itachi switch eyes with him cuz that way sauske will have ms and be able to see and itachi will just be able to see but not have ms cuz sauske never awoke it.

Kimx, the name tobi is given to Madara to throw us all into believing that its obito, and thats all. If I'm correct, and I know I am cuz I just read the 243 chapter. Obito's left side was completely crushed by that rock, and he gave his right side to Kakashi as a gift. There's no way he should be capable of using his left side. On top of that weren't they berried? It's not like they just left his corpse lying there and left, so he's dead for sure. Also, what reason does Madara have to take over Obito? I'm guessing he took over one of Uchiha clan members, but its not Obito. Who knows it might be Itachis father, and they just faked his death cuz he was the most skilled uchiha, so it only makes sense if Madara took over him, or it's Itachis best friend. I forgot his name..was something like uchiha sushi or w.e, lol; that'll be interesting.

And I agree with what kisa Baka said its probably cuz it stay on permanently just like Kakashi's, so to save his chakra he wears that mask. Also, about that tobi being obito theory. What doesn't make sense is that why would Madara go after obito who only got one eye? when there are other young uchiha bodies that he can take over. It doesn't really make much sense to me.

In the situation that Sasuke is in right now.. its hard to say if he'll live, but knowing how much of a sasuke fan kishi really is.. he'll probably get someone to interfere right before Itachi is going after Sasuke's second eye, so Sasuke will be left with only one sharingan.

I still think Sauske will survive and lose both eyes. Kakashi will give his sharingan eye to Sausuke. I think this would give the most room for the story to grow. Of course I am probably wrong and Sauske will escape unscathed except for losing Orochimaru's regenerative powers and some special jutsu that perhaps required him to have Orochimaru trapped inside of him. And if Sauske somehow wins, I wont be upset or anything but it would have to be a pretty detailed extenuating circumstance in order for me not to lose some respect for Kishi as an author (but never as an artist). And then I'd get over it and still look forward to the next chapter.

I went back and read 386 where it explains about the ms and i noticed a few things, first is that on page 6 it says "both of them obtained the power of the mangekyou sharingan." but in the pic they both have different eyes neither of wich is the regular sharingan which leads me to think possibly there are different mangekyou sharingans? next thing i noticed was that on page 9 it said "obviously this "exchange" could only be done between clansmen" which is why i think they exchanged eyes or that madras younger brother gained some power by giving up his eyes. also we only ever see completely see madras left eye and itachi's ms is the same looking one as madras younger brother possibly meaning that if sauske awakended his ms it would look like madras did?

Sasuke can't awaken his ms.. he's out of chakra, so theres no way he can, and plus that'll be dumbest turning point ever. Someone who's out of chakra all of a sudden awakens his MS (by the way MS requires large amount of chakra). GothicWombat, I doubt that Madara brother gained special powers by giving away his eyes cuz that doesn't make any sense. What good is a blind uchiha for? Their eyes are their true source of power, so without them they're worthless. Plus Madara killed his brother to obtain his eyes cuz I doubt that his brother just handed them over without putting up a fight. Kisa baka, your right I was thinking of that possibility too that Sasuke will lose both or just one eye, and at some point Kakashi will be forced to fight Madara, and will obviously loose. And somehow Sasuke will get there in time right before kakashi is about to die (something like obito did before he died). He'll offer his sharingan to Sasuke, then both Sasuke, and Naruto will take on Madara and itachi. xD But I hope Sasuke dies.. I seriously want him dead! =x

Itachi is a bad guy and deserve to die along with the other members of Akatsuki, damn criminals. Waiting for his death is taking too long.

Sasuke does nothing but stupid things, nothing good. Its a sad thing if he dies or loses his eyes. If something bad will happen to Sasuke, Kishi must reveal it next week and no more next chapter of this fight please.
