The amount of tails show the order of power, 1-tail being the weakest, and 9 being the strongest. So far we've see 1-tail, 2-tail, 3-tail, the jinchuriki of the 4-tail, and the Kyubi (9 tail).

Mr_Satan, I've been saying that for the longest. It was obvious beyond belief that oro would come back and emerge from Sasuke at some point. There were plenty of signs that signified oro's return. Look at how many times Sasuke closesly resembled oro when using certain attacks. Like when he used that first snake genjutsu on Itachi, he looked exactly like oro. I doubt "that" oro will awaken from the seal. If anything, the oro within Kabuto will return and oro will take Kabuto's body and get Kabuto's abilities as well as his own. Or Kabuto's body will transform to the likeness of oro, but Kabuto will somehow remain dominant. Remember, it is Kabuto's goal to surpass his master.

Ovo_j I get what you're saying. Let me say where I am coming from on this. It's never been said the seal is actually completely gone. I only recall Jiraiya mentioning to Kakashi after the time skip that the seal might be weakening. (Might be, not definitely is). Maybe having been exposed to the Kyuubi his whole life gives him resistance to it? Or perhaps the manga is named Naruto because Naruto is special in a few ways. This one is out of left field, but maybe there is a super small chance that the 1st Hokage's necklace helps Naruto out as well. It sure seems to be key to Yamato's control over the Bijuu. Also, remember that Naruto was a 12 year old when he learned the rasengan in a week and how to summon Gamabunta. . This is all post timeskip now, so you'd expect some growth. Apprently he has the proper genetics to become a powerhouse. I dunno, just some ideas. I cannot really claim to be "right" about most of this, but most of what I say I read in the manga.

I just realized something. Without oro, Sasuke is much weaker than he used to be. Not to say that hes weak, hes still immensely strong, but not at the same scale as he was after he absorbed oro. He's lost all of oro's unique abilities, jutsu, and that replacement tech. that saved him from Amaterasu. He didn't start using snake related techs. until after he absorbed oro, so I don't think he can use them as profficiently as he could before.

my expections for next chapters later are: some one will interrupt the fight, back to konoha team; mangekyou sharingan V.S mangekyou sharingan fight, hinata doing something great, kiba doing something great like... "hensouga??!" "garouga", madara revealing mask to find out that it's his brother, can't think right now..... what are yours...

I don't believe Itachi is going to win. If you remember Madara and his brother awakened Sharingan together. Just by competing with each other. They also awakened Mangegkyou together the same way. So this fight could have caused Sasuke to get DUH DUH DUNNNNN MS. You heard it hear first people.

I thought of that a while ago. But even in the unlikely event that Sasuke has MS, his chakra is comletely depleted(as was made obvious, when he could no longer subdue oro), and as we all know, MS exerts a tremendous amount of chakra. Sasuke does not possess enough chakra to access the MS's power. Maybe a clone (the technique Pein used on Kisame and Itachi) will interupt the fight, while the other combats with the Konoha team.

And also, Madara and his brother were the first to ever obtain the MS. So they might be the only exceptions that don't have to kill one's best friend to obtain it. Plus, it was never specified how either of them awakened MS. For all we know, they could have both gotten into a battle with each of their best friends and killed them simultaneously, thus awakening MS at the same time.

I do have to say Orochimaru popping out all full of glee and getting the beat down within moments was classic. I think he's a great villain, I hope he turns up in Kabuto somehow. Hell, I said it before but Itachi is a pretty cool villain too. Very composed and civil for a psychopathic mass murderer.

@132. Dude, Itachi slaughtered his entire clan, even his mother and father. As shown many times, Sasuke, even when training with oro, expresses mercy, and never kills his opponents. He even told Suigetsu to use restraint on oro's experiments and not to kill them. Sasuke is still a good guy, and will likely return to konoha after he kills Itachi, and he tries to kill Madara. Even though Madara will probably just toy with him. Just because Itachi has a dream, that doesn't justify his actions. And henric, it'll take way more than just will power to subdue Susanoo and defeat Itachi.

I dunno though, I don't think Naruto has that great of control over the Kyuubi. He hasn't voluntarily called forth that other chakra without Yamato there to keep him under control since he injured Sakura has he? And Naruto wasn't the first to control the Kyuubi, remember the 1st hokage supposedly could control the Bijuu like pets. Talk about stretching it...Sasuke as merciless as oro? All oro does is play with peoples lives and manipulate them for his own selfish purposes. The ONLY time oro wouldn't kill someone, is if he isn't stong enough to do so, or wants to experiment on them, or steals their body. This chapter was really wasted on everyone not familiar with Japanese legends. It's a shame, because it was a complete recreation of the famous battle between the 8-headed dragon Orochi and the warrior Susanou. They even had the sacred sake! I had always thought it was odd that Itachi kept choosing his technique names based on legendary figures, and I also thought Orochimaru's name was ironic, but I never imagine Kishimoto was going to actually recreate that epic battle in his manga. As soon as I saw that huge many-headed snake, everything clicked into place, and I was like, "Oh shit! This battle must have been planned out so carefully from soooo long ago! And it's all coming together now!" Seriously, it was amazing. If anybody here played the game Okami, maybe they'll know a bit about what I'm talking about.

@khalizh, Orochimaru's name isn't planned from long ago for this battle. He was given the name simply because Kishi thought it would be cool to use the name of Orochi. And then, having Sasuke (Orochi) battle with Itachi, Kishi then thought that it would be cool to have Itachi show a jutsu like Amaterasu and Susanou. If it was planned from long ago, have we ever seen Itachi mention Amaterasu / Susanou before? Before they introduced Orochimaru have they? There, I put my sense of logic.

Okay so here's my theory, It's quite obvious that this battle all along is about rivals and best friends from the beggining between Sasuke and Naruto. Both of them have grown very strong until this chapter, and i'm quite sure that the story will end with the battle of Naruto vs Sasuke. Now the question is, will it be a battle of pure friendship? I don't think so. I suspect that Oro / Madara will succeed in taking over Sasuke's body, thus, granting them greater power and a younger and stronger body. Now with Sasuke having all those evil deeds, and overwhelming powerful, it's up to one person, who is no one else but Naruto to stop Sasuke. Naruto will battle Sasuke for sure in the end, each one representing the Yin and the Yang (Balance). Of course this is pure assumption.

ovo_j remember very little chakra leaked out from the nine tail in the beginning, Naruto was able to restrain that chakra with his own and constantly using your chakra will be the same as training. SO you could say his chakra is being "trained" constantly by supressing the nine tail chakra and thus he can restrain more and more chakra as the time goes. However i think there is something special about naruto beyond the the nine tail. As jiraya said the fourth knew something about naruto we didnt, he wouldnt randomly seal the nine tail within his own son. I happen to think that there might be a bloodline or something, coming from his mothers blood. Now if only this match would end, we could go back to the main character.

I was also thinking along those lines, that Naruto's struggle with the Kyobi on some level will continually make him stronger. Couple that with his ability to train at an unparalleled rate and he's going to become insanely powerful (not that he isn't already). I am not really in a hurry for the story to move along though. If there were 300 more chapters already written and waiting to be read right now would we still think this was dragging on? It's the waiting that's killing me, I want more now!

@167 I sure hope that it doesn't come to that. I hope Naruto can save his friend, something his godfather and true mentor Jiraiya was unable to do. If/when Sauske and Naruto fight again I don't feel that it would be the final conflict in this story. Somehow they will reconcile, but since Sausuke only understands strength it will probably take a defeat at Naruto's hands to make Sauske believe in Naruto. Or, perhaps if Sauske does get his eyes taken he will have no choice but to depend upon his true friends to help him recover and gain his revenge. Part of me also subscribes to the idea that Itachi used the best tool he knew of to make his brother strong (hatred) and Itachi has set himself up as a training obstacle for Sausuke to overcome in order to get ready to defeat Madara. (Wishful thinking, I know)
