Rin survived the mission. but we don't read about her anywhere after this. so since Kakashi mentioned that all his friends, the people he has cared about, are all dead. we presume she is already dead,too. however, we do not see Kakashi visit her grave in Konoha. So Rin is PRESUMED DEAD. it is possible that she may have died in battle and her body was not recovered or was missing, that is why her name may be in a memorial but she does not have a grave. Much like Iruka's parents who perished in the battle against the Kyuubi summoned by Madara
