But in regard to what you said about Jiraya killing one of Pein's bodies, I don't think it was a page missing. Maybe the artists got lazy, and decided to leave that to our imaginations. I completely agree with you and ArchAngel3. Kakashi has yet to show the full extent of his powers, and I wish Kishi would give him a more significant role, other than showing Naruto tricks to learn jutsu faster. But Kishi did say that something "big" is supposed to happen to him. I actually think Kakashi would defeat Itachi now.

Sasukes not a whimp, but he's not unbeatable. For all we know one of the rookie nine can defeat him. We have no idea how far they have advanced and there are plenty of other people that could take Sasuke or atleast be a match for him. Tsunade, Jiraya, Kakashi, maybe Sai, other Akatsuki members, Oro, Rock Lee, Gai, Neji. Sasuke's main arsenal is basically genjutsu, lightning, speed, and Sharingan. Someone that can overcome those abilities and with superior intelligence would be a good match.

beatin itachi is sasuke's job. i think kakashi is almost on par with the uchihas brothers,but i think he wil die saving naruto or sakura in this battle there about to have with tobi

hes not unbeatable but theres no rookie nine member can even come close to beatin him. tsundae and kakashi are the only one with a real chance of winning.you mention sharngan... well thats all you need. sahringan reed all attack and sasuke speed is second to none so he can match all speed and use the sharingan to counter

gai is just like rock lee that taijutsu only is not going to cut it anginst a genius like sasuke. neji might be jonnin level but basicaly has the same abilites when he was gennin, jariya,and oro are dead or how ever you want to see it.sai prpbably cant beat shikamaru.genjutsu lighting,speed,sharingan, and a genius, quite frankly thats all you need.thats why he is having such a hard time beating itachi cause he just like that.

As I said, Gai and Rock Lee's fighting style is the perfect antithesis to the Sharingan. Remember, one can only be effected be the genjutsu of the Sharingan, by making eye contact. However, Gai and Rock Lee can predict Sasuke's movements without ever looking into his Sharingan and only looking at his feet, thus rendering his genjutsu utterely useless. And they are genius ninja also. Also the 8 gates would quickly overwhelm Sasuke. You sound just like Sasuke with the whole annoying "I have sharingan so I'm stronger". You can't base it on something so simplistic. Why do you think Itachi fears Jiraya, who doesn't have Sharingan. And as I said, we no idea how far any of the rookie nine have advanced, includind Neji.

Itachi will win, no doubt about it. BTW gai is more than cabable to take on itachi, remember he has the 8 inner gates, if he opens all of them he will get powers stronger than any hokage. Trust me gai will use this jutsu during the naruto series.

I totally agree that Gai would be perfectly able to match itachi or sasuke. At least do not come here and tell me they are faster than him! Because NOONE, except maybe Lee beats Gai in speed and power, except tsunade and sakura on power, but they are cheating :P I also think the other of the nine would stand a good chance now, but we have yet to see. Should take too long though, they are in fact in a battle with Madara at this very (long)monent. I'm really looking forward to seeing som chuunin-action from them :D

Neji's Byakugan makes him immune to Sasuke's genjutsu also. The reason being that, that when it's activated, he only sees through objects and their chakra. He can't see the physical properties, so he won't look directly into Sasuke's eyes. He is also a genius ninja, and the most skilled of the Hyuuga clan. Kaiten would deflect his lightning, shuriken, and snakes. He could kill sasuke, or completely shut down his chakra with one hit, and with his bare hands. Remember, Neji doesn't need a direct hit to inflict pain. He has eyes in the back of his hand, so to speak, so Sasuke can't sneak behind him like he did Deidara. Also, if you realized, Sasuke's speed can be repeled and overcomed. Even Deidara was able to dodge Sasuke's attacks.

gai and lee have alot of speed, but the sharingan can copy there speed, in other words its a counter.i cant say much about the rookie nine cause they really havent should them during the time skip.gai had to open up the sixth gate just to beat a 30% charka clone of kisame,and we all know that the real kisame cant beat itachi.imo gai,especialy lee dont have a chance of beatin itachi. about jariya, itachi never said jariya could beat him. he said that they would both end up dieing,and that means to me that they are equal.i dont remember no one sayin that gai or lee are a genius,in fact they probably are the opposite. face the facts the sharingan is the ultimate counter, thats why anyone will have a very hard time defeatin sasuke, itachi.or kaksahi... yes even the legendary sannins

Sasuke can't copy Lee and Gai's speed. He had to train for three months to obtain Lee's old speed AFTER copying it. And he could still just keep up with it two minutes, before being exhausted, which also means almost out of chakra.. And Lee has probably gotten a whole friggin lot faster, and so is Gai, and they have just about eternal stamina. And About the Kisame fight. I don't think he was any weaker than the full version, and he didn't run out of chakra either did he? so therefore there is no certain sign that the clone was any weaker than the original. And Kisame can't beat Itachi, because he looks him in the eyes, and uses ninjutsu and relatively sllow taijutsu, Gai/Lee is the perfect match for itachi/sasuke. And we already know Gai and Kakashi are equals, so it shouldn't be too big a difference with the other Sharingans. And Lee certainly is a Genius of hard work! YOOSH!!! Gai said that :P

i was one month when he copy lee speed. im sure at his skill level now he could probably copy it in an instant,as so as he sees it. just like kakashi was coping zabuza.you really cant compare a 30% kisame to a full power kisame, that has the highest charka level compareable to naruto.well if lee is a genius, i guess naruto is to then lol

It didn't need to be said. It's sorta comon knowledge. Byakugan, as we know, looks through a solid objects and has a 359 degree field of vision. It can percieve the chakra points, and chakra itself. As we know, you need to look at the Sharingan to fall into a genjutsu, but if the Byakugan see's through Sasuke's physical eyes, than genjutsu of that kind won't work. And like Dickens said, it has been said that Gai and Lee are geniuses quite often in the first series. If you notice, Sasuke only uses his speed in the begining of every fight, as we've seen with Deidara, and Itachi. After a few minutes and moves, I noticed that he doesn't use it anymore. My guess is, just like when he copied Lee's speed, he was fast, but it takes alot of energy to maintain. Lee and Gai, who are probably just as, if not faster than Sasuke, can effortlessly maintain their speed for much longer. And Kisame has a tremendous amount of chakra, so 30% wouldn't even make a difference, since he could use any attack he could when at 100%.

i think with kakashi's ms gai is no longer a match for him... kakashi had always been fast practically as fast as gai, the sharingan enabled him the complete his chidori!

I'd say word! to shuhan ;D One thing though.. Didn't Naruto fall into a Genjutsu from Itachi by looking at his finger? So that means they're not all eyes. I'm not sure about Neji though.. We've never really seen the Byakuugan against Genjutsu.. interesting

Byakugan may have a slight enge over genjutsu since they have very precise chakra control as an ability

Yeah, I agree that Kakashi might be stronger than Gai. I wouldn't even be surprised if Kakashi could use the 8 gates as well. I don't see why he wouldn't be able to. Good point Dickens, about Naruto. But Naruto is largely unexperienced in genjutsu, so he is suceptible to even the weakest genjutsu. But thats Itachi. Sasuke's genjutsu revolve around the Sharingan. Without Sharingan, Sasuke probably can't use genjutsu very well.

Exactly! Kakashi has always had crazy speed! aaaand he had the sharingan on top of it all. But he still only egualed Gai. And what's his MS gonna do to change things? He very rarely uses it, and is just about dead afterwards, so if he misses, he will be for sure. And as far as we know, he can now only use the space time jutsu which is really hard to hit anything with, and with Gai's speed, it'll be impossible. So it's almost like Kakashi's MS will help Gai actually.. Itachi's is different though, but tsukuyumi is out of the picture because of no Eyecontact, and Amaterasu.. weell.. that would be very dangerous, but it is said to burn what is in it's field of vision. Gai and Lee can move a speeds making them invicible for the naked eye.. hence a hard target to hit... But then again itachi has MS, and that may make it easier to see fast targets like when sasuke gained the last tomoes against naruto.. But I still think Gai could take him. It all depends on the scenario though.. Like it's said here before, the weakest Fighter often wins, so luck can turn anything around here..

i agree with the neji logic.i just cant give gai or lee any credit. i cant a worthy opponent getting punch and kick to death, unless that person is neji. thats like sayin sasuke will cut you to death with his sword.i also agree about gai/lee speed last alot more then sasuke. your right he only uses it at the beging of the match.we all know that gai/lee are hyper engery freaks.

Yes, I agree Shuhan, Naruto probably is a special case, and also Sasuke is different from Itachi... But I'm not sure about Kakashi's gates though.. Isn't that really rare to be able to open them? And can it be copied? I didn't think so, but I'm not sure.. But I get this memory of somebody other than Gai and Lee opening the gates. Any idea who that may be? Did Kakashi do it before? Maybe it's just my imagination, but I've got a feeling someone did it..

@ 190 DaFunK, Ok whatever. either fans' high IQ or this stupid "sasuke mania" kishi shows us, the result is same. since "the rescue of gaara", everything in manga is obvious from (atleast) 20 episodes before it really happens and believe me it's not because of our high IQ it's just because of kishi's bias! but don't get me bad I like this damn manga 'n also kishi. but I just hate to wait and see his decline in storytelling

But don't forget Dickens, Kakashi's MS is alot different than an Uchiha MS. The attack he used on Deidara, was not Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, or Susano. Those 3 attacks are supposed to be the only attacks in the MS's repirtoire, but Kakashi used another. My guess is that Kakashi can do things with the MS that Uchiha members cannot do. My point is that, there may be attacks that Kakashi can do with his MS, that may defeat Gai, other than what we've seen him use. Kakashi is probably as smart as Shikaku Nara(Shikamaru's father, who is smarter than his son) so I'm sure he has found other uses for his MS. Itachi can't use space-time dimension jutsu with MS, like Kakashi can.

It was kakashi, Dickens. He was climbing a mountain with one hand and opened the 1st or 2nd gate. He also used the Omote Renge(pile-driving attack) on 3 of naruto's clones, which require you to open the 2nd gate to use. If he already knows how to open 2 gates, then I'm certain he can open more, maybe 3-4 gates. But no, it can't be copied, because it is a forbidden jutsu, and Sharinga can't copy such techniques, or so I believe.

I don't really think Kakashi's MS is that different from the Uchihas' We certainly know that the shape and look of it doesn't matter anymore, and we have already seen sasuke use space/time jutsu (without MS?) so it may only be a jutsu Kakashi invented, using his MS. He is a smart fellow, and has over thousand Jutsus, so I'd say that is possible. And I also think Itachi might be able, although we haven't seen it, to use space/time. And saying Kakashi's as smart as the Naras.. that's taking it a bit too far I think :P They are all brains (and awesomeness though!:D) Making another character smarter would be crappy.. It would ruin their whole game. But I agree he is really very smart,and skilled. But so is Gai..... well skilled at least XD

whatever was planed for Itachi and Sasuke I feel one thing is obvious: Sasuke is going to be badly injured (may be become blind and can't walk I think) then the other members of his so-called team will come 'nd take him back. if not so what is the purpose of wasting 10 episodes to show us how sasuke gathers his own teammate?

@247 I don't think it was an embelishment. Kakashi has proven that his intelligence can rival the Naras. Even back when he fought Zabuza, he displayed immense intelligence. He was also able to deduce exactly how to beat Deidara almost immediately, without even having to see his attacks. Also, when he was explaining his deduction to Naruto, he said one would need a ninja with a brain like Nara's and that specializes in long-range jutsu, which he commented that he has both.

ArchAngel, Gai's speed is above Kakashi's and he can't be effected by the Sharingan. Just because Lee and Gai only use taijutsu doesn't mean they are inferior to those with more. Both of them have proven countless times, that they are so profficient with taijutsu, that it is all they need to win. Even Itachi was hesitant to fight Gai. I think they are about even, but Kakashi would have to go all out to win.

Yeah, the fact they are constant rivals, suggests they are, or atleast very near equals in terms of power. But Dickens, it kinda doesn't take away from the Naras that much. Kakashi is probably the only ninja who has their level of intelect, and isn't a Nara. But is there intelect a clan trait, or is it just something Shikamaru got from his father?

Yes I agree about Gai and Kakashi there. Well yeah I kinda get what you're saying, but to say that he is smarter than them still takes away a lot in my opinion at least. If he is near their level, then that would make it alot better.. And I'm not sure if it's the whole clan or just the two of them, but my guess is that it is a clan trait. At least to some extent, but I think Shikamaru and his father are outstanding even among them. But that's just a wild guess based on previous experiences with the characters..

shuhan, ok I don't underestimate Gai, but remember "gaara arch" where Gai had difficulty to get rid of his own clown? while kakashi in almost a blink shattered Deidara? ok kakashi and gai are friends, good friends. but the later is a second order character. but don't blame me it's because kishi hasn't show us any special ditinct role for him

dnt think we can predict who beats who. there are too many different scenarios and possibilities plus we havnt seen everyones new abilities.hopefully(someday kishi, someday) we will see wot a full strength kisame can do against suigetsu.also remeber itachi can do genjutsu with his finger...but i suppose a ninja at gais lvl shud dispel that easily

If thats real, then the attack Kakashi used WAS Susano. But probably a weaker version, since at the time, he was inexperienced in it's use.

Well, ArchAngel, don't forget that Gai was fighting himslelf, and thats why it was so hard. Kakashi's abilities were perfect to dispatch Deidara, which is why he beat him so easily. If Kakashi were to fight himself, he would have just as much trouble as Gais did.

Well if Kakashi's move is susanoo, then there's certainly nothing pointing towards his sharingan being different. Except how he got it, but that doesn't matter as long as he doesn't do anything special with it.
