It seems most of the Genin (proving stronger than most Jounin) have more of a chnace at becoming Hokage than Kakshi ever would. I mean Look at how he's handling Kakuzu, brilliantly but to think he'd have to use a last resort on an S-ranked ninja apparently at a super elite level that a Genin is probably gonna tear to shredds. Kakashi's great an all but no Hokage inauguration for him.

Merely being legendary isn't necessarily going to make a person Hokage... there are so many characters who have nicknames and can do amazing things... the key factor- say they do want Kakashi to be Hokage... we know that people can choose whether or not they wish to do so, do you think Kakashi would say yes? Personally, I don't... why? How many times would he have to send shinobi on missions in which they didn't return? Would he feel as guilty knowing he sent them on those missions as he did when he wasn't able to save Obito? He's a strong character, yes, but I think his past would effect his answer too much...

Kakashi's a smart man and I believe he can tell if he's cut out to be Hokage or not. Kakashi dropped his pride a long time ago because he knew someday he'd have to choose to save a friend or finish the mission and not end up like the "White Fang" Somehow I feel he won't be able to escape that reality. ^_^

Those who fail a mission are scum, but those who abandon their friends are even worse than scum." I also think that Kakashi is aware of the "will of fire." I don't think that Kakashi would feel guilty if he were to send someone on a mission and risk them losing their lives. Kakashi is smart of enough to be aware that the person he is sending on a mission knows the extent of their participation. I know it seems like Kakashi is weak, especially during his fight with Kakuzu. But you should know that Kakashi is a jounin in Konoha with the highest number of completed S-rank missions. Kakashi almost doubles Maito Gai in S-Rank Missions and Maito is the one with the second highest number. Kakashi has completed as many S-Ranked Missions as the Fourth Hokage. I say that's pretty damn good! The reason why I say "famous" is because, in Konoha, you're famous for very few things. You're either famous for your strength, your skill, your clan, or status. And think those are important factors in becoming Hokage.
