I have a question? Zetsu is in theory an S-class criminal, you know being in Akatsuki and all, right? Meaning that he is higher than Jounin Level, or a Jounin leveled ninja with exceptional skills. Why didn't Zetsu deal with Naruto and Sasuke when he had the chance. It's obvious that he was observing the whole fight between Sasuke and Naruto. He could've captured Naruto and eliminated Sasuke, which would have both foiled Orochimaru's plans and get Akatsuki one step closer to capturing all the hosts. Zetsu could've captured Naruto right after his fight with Sasuke(right after Sasuke decided to leave and before Kakashi's arrival.) If Itachi and Kisame which were more likely ordered to capture Naruto and failed, why wouldn't Zetsu go after Naruto, especially in Naruto's extremely weakened state?

Hmmm, my only answer for that Athias would be that he had no direct orders from the Leader to do so. He seems to appreciates the fact that Tobi is a good boy, meaning he probably likes that he obeys (sometimes, people like what they are). And before it's brought up, yes the Leader has the telepathy skills, but I believe it only occurs at his will. If he had no precise knowledge of where Zetsu was, he could not have commanded Zetsu to take Naruto.
