From reading this chapter, I have a bad feeling that Sakura will be doing something stupid because of quote from Sakura: " NARUTO I am sorry", and soon after she asked Kiba to find Sasuke. This thing really makes me feel that a bad and stupid act from Sakura will happen, I reckon she will go find Sasuke to try to fight him OR let him kill her to start fire between Naruto and Sasuke, then Naruto will no longer go for Sasuke as a friend but as an enemy...and this is why she is saying sorry before hand and she might be doing this because of how Naruto's life has been so by setting all this up, she thinks it will make Naruto's life better without having to WORRY about Sasuke and her because she also knows that Naruto has got Hinata....(she knows Hinata likes Naruto)

Also I think Sakura and others(more than 3 of them I guess because they were all agreeing to capturing Sasuke), anyways all or most of them will get their asses kicked by Sasuke and somehow in SAGE MODE, Naruto will be able to find them and then get pissed off and Kick the fuck out of Sasuke and if Gaara is there too it would be interesting to watch. Also I think Naruto knows what Sakura's planning to do already because he was in SAGE MODE, and if the others who are coming as their plan to capture Sasuke Naruto would hav sensed their Chakra and that could be the reason he noticed that Sakura is lying, and the reason all of them are not coming out is because it will be so supsicious to Naruto and they don't want to hurt Naruto's feeling, however they FAILED cause SAGE MODE beats all!

@justrelax: I think Sakura did lie to Naruto about LOVING him but that was with good intentions however it was just quite stupid....Though despite her stupidity, I do appreciate her feeling of feeling sorry for Naruto of what he has been going through, and the love she is expressing to Naruto right now is more like a FRIENDSHIP/BROTHER type of love not ROMANCE sort of love.

Melo, Sauske vs. Pain wouldn't be that close. J-man provided Konoha with a lot of intel on Pain. Sauske would not have had the same information and the reason that Naruto was able to destroy real body of Pain was due to his Sage Mode sensing abilities. No, I do not feel that Sauske's Susano or black flame could match the onslaught that Pain brings to the table. Even if Sauske were to somehow manage to defeat some of the bodies, Pain had a hefty reserve that he could dispatch to the battle field when the mood struck him...so long as he kept the summoning ninja safe. Since the rin'negan is the father of the Sharrigan, I do not think that his eyes would be susceptible to any genjutsu on Sauske's behalf. The only reason Pain was affected by the Toad's genjutsu was due to it's nature based component. To sum it up, if the hokages at the summit were able to beat Sauske down, there is no way he would have been able to beat Pain and his repulsion jutsus.

yeah leaf, i was thinking the same thing. if sasuke won't find out about pain's secret then he's a sauce on spoiled toast. :D since the amaterasu is a jutsu perhaps the hungry ghost could even absorb all the black flames. so definitely sasuke would need the susano'o if he is to survive pain's shinra tensei; but the last time we saw sasuke it took a great toll on him to be able to awaken and use the susano'o. he was in great pain... and he was such in a weakened state when all four kages caught up with him. so he was pawned. he has not even made any attacks against any of them at the conference hall or did he really intend to. he was on a hurry to pursue danzo but he was all defensive, put on a tight corner. now i don't know if sasuke could match the ability of the sage chakra, because it really was what put all the six paths down. if he can, then there is a slight chance he could survive pain or even defeat him. XD

AHSjdg First of all, Sharingan can track down chakra. You seem to be forgetting that. Second, Sasuke could've easily taken down a lot of Pain's bodies with Amaterasu. since it's almost instant when looking, and ninjutsu absorbing body can't move that fast. Of course, there should be some tactics, but it's Sasuke. Susanoo could've defended against every Pain's attack, except for maybe Chibaku Tensei. And after all, you're forgetting Sasuke's last tehnique, thunder crap, which isn't a ninjutsu, rather a manipulation of nature energy, which Pain couldn't defend against.

That's just it...I have not forgotten all of Sauske's abilities. What is important to remember is that Sauske is more human than godlike. Whereas, Sauske's chakra is depleted when he utilizes his strong jutsu, Pain keeps right along. It took a serious battle against Naruto, a search and find, interrogation mission against the whole of Konoha, and a powerful technique against abnormally sized Toads and a demon fox to wind Pain...no, I think Pain would outlast Sauske and continually pound him until he would succumb to the mighty warrior. Trust me, I'm no Sauske fan, but I do give the devil his due; Sauske is incredibly talented, he has some serious strength...but as he is now, he could not have defeated the mighty Pain. Let us not forget that he could not defeat his brother (in an all out fair fight).

The only person I think would've given pain a tough match on equal grounds was Itachi(RIP), Naruto only had a chance because he caught pain in a weakened state right after he had used that jutsu to destroy konoha. Naruto never faught all of pains bodies at once. God realm stood back to recharge whilst the others got defeated, and finally when it was time for some action from god realm, the others were gone, with Nagato bleeding from his mouth (Poor thing). Neither naruto nor suske are any match for the abilities of Pain.

For Sakura bitch, I wish kishi wll just lynch her. Too bad naruto didn't pay much attention to Hinata after the Pain incident, that Barka.

If Sakura is to pursue Sask to fight him then i will be rooting for her to kick his ass even though she can't... and by the way Naruto VS Sask Naruto will win for sure if he truly wants to kick his ass. If he doesn't then GTH. Though Sask has lots of crazy Jutsu not as great as Naruto's i say [expecting more to see. of them all a Katon Jutsu (for the Toad oil combo)]...In the end Sask suks big time.

I've never liked Sakura now I hate her. I'm 100% sure she is going to do something really stupid and Naruto or Kakeishi has to save her. Naruto's so stupid for ignoring Hinata after the Pain attack. Sasuke didnt stand a chance against Pain (Nagato), he always loses confidence when faced against overwhelming opponents. Yes, Itachi-sama could have defeated Pain simply because he is cool. And Naruto was able to defeat Pain because of the intel he had and sage mood made him "Superninja". When the four kages went against silly sasuke, they were just warming up. Silly Sasuke was a goner if akatsuki wouldnt have interfered.

'NaruSaku' is crazyness, but 'NaruHina' ain't much to hang up in a tree either. Hinata is, in my opinion, a vague bi-character with little or no personality. I hope that Naruto will find himself a real character of a girlfriend when travaling around like Jiraiya did.

@allep but hinata is the moe of the naruto series! she can't be merely a bi-character of no consequence. minato was also bi-character, too, and he holds a very important role in the story. i think there are major secondary characters and there are minor secondary characters, and hinata and minato fall in the previous category. another thing -- kishi did not give the major female character womanly breasts but he gave it to hinata. :D

while it can be obvious that naruto does not manifest any romantic inclination to hinata, it is apparent now that he also is not that interested in sakura anymore. he has accepted the fact that it's sasusaku; and the confession, even if the words were there, fall flat in terms of context and spoiled the whole picture for a possible narusaku. really sakura should be sorry. she has been trying to manipulate naruto's feelings for her to benefit from -- 1st, to have made him promise to save sasuke, and then now, to offer a fake relationship just so she could assuage her guilt. so hinata and sakura are about even in the love department as a possible pair for naruto. so who could be a perfect match for naruto? hmmm how about the mizukage? though i would want her to fall for kakashi. kakashi as the new hokage would be great for konoha and for an unprecedented mist-leaf alliance. it would like a new minato-kushina love story. and she is much older than naruto. how about samui? she is blond like naruto and looks like a much younger -but colder- version of tsunade. things could change though if sakura would discover tsanade's anti-flat chested miracle jutsu.lol. XD seriously, things could change if we see how serious was sakura really at falling out of love for sasuke; naruto is correct, she has to let go of sasuke first before she can move on. and this time is not appropriate for such empty half-assed words.

as for the necessary change in hinata. i think it should be that she finally admits that naruto has no romantic feelings for her. when that happens, she could act normally again and grow up to be her own person, to the great ninja that she is meant to be. she can't be the princess of the byakugan clan for nothing. when she rises up to be a real woman and a great ninja, only then would naruto take her seriously. from experience and from close observation, the girls that guys take seriously are the girls that they have to pursue and to win over. the one who poses a challenge for them. naruto has grown when he finally accepted that sakura would always love sasuke and has no romantic feelings for him, hinata should do likewise.

@50 i always hear this excuse that a certain uber-strong character was defeated because he was on a weakened state. if the weakened state was due to the battle, then it doesn't count as an excuse for defeat. and the situation is always part of the battle. the one who uses the situation for his own advantage is the better ninja. it's not just a matter of skills or jutsus. i think people who argue this way think of battles as like happening in arcade games where the environment is just that --background.

@kontrol, i second you on the itachi sentiment. :D nothing beats itachi in terms of coolness. er, except minato, perhaps. XD

seriously, i think itachi's susano'o could repel chibaku tensei, which is pain's strongest jutsu. on the other hand, hungry ghost could absorb the unquenchable black flames of the amaterasu. it would have been an even match. with both also having their ultra powerful demon god summons, and these jutsus exact great damage on the user. their double-edged swords. so the one who gets ill first loses. XD would the battle be settled on a kunai-vs.kunai taijutsu?hehe, but how about genjutsu? how is it possible that itachi or sasuke could get inside someone else's psyche/inner space? could pain counter genjutsu?

I agree with you Melo, but I also think saying "being in a weakened state because of battle is no excuse for defeat" doesn't tell the whole story. It would be like saying that Gatoh's henchmen who killed Zabuza were better fighters that he was simply because they were clever enough to fight him when he was in a weakened state with his arm tendons cut. In the case of Naruto and Pain, Nagato Was in a somewhat weakened state. I still think that Naruto had the means to defeat him, but none-the-less circumstance was in Naruto's favour - God Pain was incapacitated, Nagato was already bleeding from the mouth from using a jutsu that "shortens his life span" and he had just battled an entire ninja city including a sannin and kakashi and many other extraordinary ninja. Naruto on the other hand was freshly into sagemode with full backup! But I'm just being contrary tho, i actually agree with you here :) As for sakura I doubt she would deliberately kill herself to make Naruto angry, but it does seem likely that she is going to do something interesting. From her comments it seems obvious that she intends to confront Sasuke. However that makes me inclined to believe that kishi has deliberately made it appear that way to conceal from us, the readers, that she has a plan to negotiate, and/or play some kind of game with Sasuke first. Perhaps another conversation about bonds between the two? Last thought, I don't see why susanno would be a defence against the chibako tensi and the other gravity jutsu - at present it appears only to act as a shield in the same way a coat of armor is a shield. I doubt it would be a defense against time/space, gravity or genjutsu, nor against extreemly high power jutsu like that deathball thing that narutokyuubi fires from its mouth or acid from that blond female kage. All in all, it doesn't seem all that absolute to me. Just my thoughts tho! P.S. I wander what sage chakra would do to samehada? P.P.S Lee would be a good oponent 4 kisarme, was would sakura and guy

On page 7, Sai was there I think he'll absolutely tell Naruto what the rookies are doing, Naruto will then activate Sage Mode and somehow found out that 2 people with strong chakra are fighting he will go check it out, then just before Bee is defeated(If kisame is strong enough), anyway just before Bee is defeated Sage Mode Naruto will come and kicked Kisame's ass, because think about this will Kisame be able to handle Sage chakra? and Naruto frog kata can hurt a person without actually being in contact remember he smashed 1 of pain bodies?

Well what about Kisame vs. Pain? Who would win? I guess Kisame is second to none other then madara in terms of chakra in akatsuki. I don’t think it would be fair to state Hinata as a side character. She is the single most accomplished female nin in the series, unlike the other waste bunch (sakura, ino, tenten (aggressive but still weak) , etc). Had it not been the involvement of Hinata, Kakashi, Shizune, and naruto himself along with the entire village wud be goners. She stimulated Naruto into Kyuubi mode remember? & that was the only option on the table under Pains captivity.

I would say the battle with Pain is the most important battle the main character "Naruto" has faced so far. And it decided the fate of the entire village along with the trend of the manga. And guess who was there with him, who helped to make it all happen, who reset things into motion when all hope was gone, "HINATA". Face it, Kishi has plans for her, and am loving it.

@kontrol: Hinata was there to express her love but what she did was killing herself and I do give her credit for being brave and heroic but she made the situation worse then it triggured Naruto to go so close in unleashing the beast, and when hope was gone before Naruto pulled off the seal a character saved it and it wasn't Hinata, but it was none other than The Yellow Flash and yet we still haven't learned that much about the 4th...............................................

@rivcars/70. great comment dude. yeah i totally agree with you. however, gatoh's men were not credited for killing zabuza; zabuza's death was largely due to losing the battle against kakashi, not because he was on 'a weakened state'. he lost fair and square to team 7, and was even saved from death a couple of times by the cunning and life sacrifice of haku. moreover, zabuza lost because of his wrong values and his underestimating the 'kids' that kakashi was with. while the kids were the ones who saved kakashi from being imprisoned and killed by zabuza underwater. in contrast, it is a different case for pain when he got 'defeated'. he was sure in a weakened state but not so weak as to be at a crippling disadvantage when he fought naruto. he was in 'that state' because of his own folly also. there was no other person to blame but himself; because he was bent on revenge, that is why he did the double-edged chibaku tensei over konoha that diminished his life-span and almost depleted his chakra reserves. but even if naruto was the one credited for the end of nagato, we know that (1) naruto did not really defeat nagato, it was nagato who 'killed' himself to atone for his faults and return the lives he took; and (2) in all naruto's battles he always had help (well, except the battle against sasuke at the VoTE), so it was almost always teamwork that wins the battle for konoha, and not merely a single ultra-powerful and talented ninja. so 'the weakened state excuse' does not properly apply to justifying zabuza nor nagato's losses. the only one that the 'weakened state excuse' was used was when sasuke gave that justification in behalf of orochimaru when he 'defeated' him. but it was not the fault of sasuke that orochimaru was on a weakened state, so it doesn't mean he cannot take the credit for killing orochimaru. he planned it so well and used the situation to his advantage. killing orochimaru was not an easy task for him, it was just the last stage in the battle. he was waging the battle from behind all throughout his apprenticeship, and orochimaru underestimated sasuke even as he was suffering from his stupid attempt at destroying konoha and being pawned by his sensei sarutobi. in short, the 'weakened state' should not be used to downplay one's defeat of a super powerful villain. it also does not tell the whole story. XD

I haven't denyed that 'kishi have plans for Hinata', but what I'm saying is that I don't like her as a character. She's not entertaining, not funny, not charming; not anything. She's got breasts though, as melo pointed out, but other than that, she's aint a heart warming character. At least not in my point of view. --- Someone as special as Naruto should have a girlfriend with a lot of personality. Hinata just doesn't live up to that, yet anyways. --- I don't like Sakura one single bit, I'll tell you that, but as you may have noticed, I'm not a fan of Hinata either.

So what kind of girls am I proposing for Naruto instead? Answer: the kind of girls that are shown in the Naruto-movies. =)

She replies that Mōryō was a demon created by the dark thoughts of men, and that there is bound to be another Mōryō someday. Because of this, she says that she must continue the line of priestesses that will suppress demons like Mōryō. Shion then asks Naruto if he will help her (a double entendre asking if he will father her child), much to the shock of Sakura, Kakashi, and Lee. Naruto, clueless as usual, agrees without realizing the second meaning of her question. XD

How about Samui? She looks cool and hot at the same time. And she doesn't seem as 'gentle as Hinata'. You don't like her also? :) Though I won't give up on Hinata that easily: she has a very big heart under those breasts. And for me, that is all that matter. I would marry Hinata anytime, if I was Naruto, that is. They both have such big hearts! Hinata does not lack hotness also aside from moe-ness. I remember that one anime filler where Naruto sees a very attractive woman bathing at the falls one evening or early morning and was smitten by her; though he did not realize that it was Hinata. But if Hinata would believe in herself more and look at Naruto as an equal so she emerges as an independent character; then I find it not impossible at all for a NaruHina. :D

Funny, entertaining, and charming girls are beautiful and attractive because they feel beautiful and they reflect the vibrancy of life. That is what makes them lovable. I just don't think Hinata knows and feels she is beautiful; she was raised to be an insecure child, that is why. If Kishi would give her clothes that like he did for Sakura or Inno or Samui or the Mizukage, then I think Naruto would not fail to notice her, and that would add to the 'respect' and 'liking' he already has for her. A question for the guys -- just what do you think should be done or should happen so that 'fiery passion' will be added to the mix if you have such and only great respect and liking for a girl?

i doubt that the 'interview' is legit. i've been searching through google for that actual/authentic interview transcript with proof pics, and only found the english transcript that was supposedly taken from a french magazine. so the original source (japanese) was neither revealed nor confirmed. it seems of good judgment to think that this interview where kishi supposedly mentioned about new akatsuki members and one being a brother/sis of the hokage as a fake.

@vincent. ur new link did not give much also. it said that the transcript was translated from korean to english. don't we know that the interview should have been in japanese if it was an SJ exclusive? the exact name and issue of the 'korean' source was not even indicated, so there's no way to confirm if the interview that contains these 'revelations' really happened.
